I visited Polignano a Mare in April of 2023. The Hotel Covo Dei Saraceni was a great choice for my visit. The staff was professional, and communicative. The hotel was clean, and comfortab le. The bed was comfortable. I had a very nice view. I was on a bicycle trip, and was able to secure my bicycle in their garage overnight. The breakfast was fabulous. They offered a wide buffet selection of pastries, fruits, jusices; all of the things you get in a nice hotel. The breakfast room has a wonderful outlook. I had a good internet connection.

Great hotel in the heart of Bari. The train station is one step away from where you can travel anywhere. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is cultured, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is great although we only had breakfast. I don't give 5 points for one reason. The air conditioner in the room is very cold, it cannot be setup, we switched it to warmer and after a few seconds it returned to the original temperature. The location of the hotel is not in the best neighborhood. This massive city center with all its peculiarities. Like dirt, dog excrement on the street, graffiti and suspicious figures. However, the transport is very good from here to wherever you go.

It’s a clean and well organised place with high ceiling rooms that are pretty inviting. Check in works via a link and requires a mobile internet connection for the first check in. That works well if you have a SIM card with internet access if not, then you should plan for it. We had a two room apartment for three people. The smaller room was a walk through to get to the bathroom. The bathroom looks newly renovated and was clean. The door is foldable though and very thin. The kitchen us shared with others and has some basic utensils (not for big cooking). The location is quite and rather central. So you get to the old part of town in ca 10 minutes and the central train station in 15 minutes.

This is a really tired and dated hotel by today's standards. Externally it looks great, but internally it is very basic. A few details about our room; Hardly any plug sockets Air con either on or off (no options) Wifi wasn’t working in bedroom, only reception/dining room (Room 206) TV not working. Asked twice - fixed 2 days later. No wifi so no Netflix etc. Noisy fridge all day/night Shower jets don’t work but instant hot water Other points; Very basic breakfast - don’t expect eggs of any kind! Remote location - a car is essential All staff speak very limited English, if any No one at reception Sunday evening or at 7am next morning. The breakfast guy took 1/2 hour to check us out due to the language barrier. Swimming caps needed for hotel pool €4 each from reception Best bits; The restaurant was amazing. Fabulous food and wine. We were given free 5-course meal on arrival (drinks not included). Lovely pool. Gets noisy though when the local kids arrive. Suggestion for hotel; Provide some guidance for international guests in the form of a small booklet (in a few languages) in each room.

We found this baby accidentally I have to say we found very good. That kind boy who answered us at the phone and then welcomed us at our arrival. Extremely spacious room is very clean. Super breakfast made in the bar under Jerome with cappuccino and scream flirts 😋. Also very comfortable because the conventional parking 2 minutes walk is perfect. It will be our first choice when we come back to Bari. The only advice I give to the property is to have an additional eye on the maintenance and use of things in the room but really simple things. Hotel that can't be defined as a 4-star honesty. Surely quiet and with a good cleaning degree. The rooms are very spartan, the bathroom within the limit of acceptable. The kit provided is limited to two bottles of shampoo nothing more. I have to say that by applying directly to the reception you are immediately active to answer the request ........ma why not find what is needed before! Kitchen is not bad and staff is kind and professional. Breakfast is very poor, two sticks of cooked pig and soft as cheese. The soda eggs they offer are GELATE!!!! and unfortunately not fresh, better avoid them. Thank you to Mr. John, who is responsible for the room , hyper-infarkt in meeting the customer's demands.
