Very good, clean and with excellent service. Only 20 RMB away from the airport. The front desk helped bargain for a taxi. It is only a few minutes walk from the old city Medina. It is a few steps away from the central pedestrian street. Excellent! Thumbs up!
Downtown is more convenient. However, renting a car is not convenient, and parking is still chargeable. The gym also charges. The court style of the hotel, some people feel style, others feel scary. You can live without driving.
Being engaged to a tunisian girl i fly frequently to tunis from the UK.
Location of the hotel is good, 15 minutes from airport, busy area but i dont think its an area to walk around at late night.
Ive tried loads of the hotels ranging from 2 stars to 4 star hotels in tunis city, hamamet and sousa areas.
This hotel is a small hidden gem.
I was Greeted with a smile when i came around midnight, check in took a minute (unfortunately wasn't given the wifi password on the spot had to ask for it latter on)
The wifi was very fast in the room, i had no issues with connectivity
The owner offered me a complementary bottle of water which i appreciated cause if was thirsty and hungry, they offered to get me some food from a nearby fast food place, so i requested a sandwich which i paid 15 tunisian dinners for ( didnt likee the sandwich much but i appreciated there help 😅😅😅)
The hotel itself is very very nice, not a generic build, had a tunisian look to it with paintings everywhere, they have like a small venue area down in reception
The room was spacious and again nothing generic about it.
The beds were steel frame beds so nothing fancy but the mattress was new and comfortable
Everything was spot on clean
flat tv on the wall and an A/C unit which was functional, all remotes were there in the room.
The rooms were very calm, no noise and most important they WEREN'T PAPER THIN !!!!
No kettle or tea/coffee in the room
2 towels in bathroom, small to medium size, no large ones
Shampoo was available in packets, they supplied 2,
Toiletries available, very clean modern toilet, no leaks
Overall
I loved this hotel, i paid 20 pounds for the night and i am 100% sure i will be coming again soon
Going into the hotel to have security checks, I feel very safe. The hotel provides free drinking water, which is very rare in Tunisia, and many four-star hotels do not. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful. The nine-story can give a bird's-eye view of Tunisia.
The room facilities are good, the breakfast is rich, there are restaurants around, and it is convenient to go to various places. It is very suitable for short-term business trips. There is a park near the hotel and it is relatively quiet.
Honestly speaking. It's good for the cheap price but could be a bit cleaner.
Lifts are old and the lift door sensor dnt really work do doors squash on u.
The room I requested when booking, wasn't the room I got. However, it was a massive room with queen size bed and a double, which were quite comfy.
Bathroom bath too messy, it's like they patch painted bits of it.
You can hear every noise from another room and in passage.
View through the window wasn't good as shown in photos. Images advertised by hotel are a lot more different when you're actually there.
Hotel had no source of clean hot water. So I don't recommend bringing your baby here. I had to buy thermost and bottled water and go to the cafe around the corner and get them to warm it.
Air conditioning was rubbish in the room I got. Toilet couldn't flush properly, have to take lid off and press from in there.
No iron, no kettle.
Very helpful Staffs, 3 nice bars, regular room service.
The Le National is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Le National is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Bab Souika. Traveling to the hotel is easy with SNCFT -Fret located approximately 4km away and Tunis–Carthage International Airport roughly 8km away. This hotel is located near many of Bab Souika's attractions including Bab Saadoun, Victory Square and Sahara Desert. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Bab Souika hotel offers parking on site.
Hôtel Belvédère Fourati is conveniently located close to the airport, within a 10-minute drive. There is no hotel shuttle and, if you ask, the hotel will charge you more than you would pay for a taxi. All hotel staff are friendly and willing to help you with anything. The rooms were clean and up to a world standard. Presently surprised with a fruit basket on our arrival, had tasty dates. There is a shisha bar next door and many other places nearby to eat. I would highly recommend it for other guests to stay.
