Excellent property. Fruits were missing in included breakfast, bread was hard. It is on the quieter side of the residential area.

Tulum - January - Zamna We traveled to Tulum for a weekend trip to stay 2 nights and attend a concert at Zamna. We chose to stay at the Majaro hotel after viewing pictures online and seeing its cutesy and demure ambiance. The hotel did not disappoint. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. They accommodated us when we requested a later check out by 30 minutes. There is also a market and coffee shop across the street for essentials.

The place itself was beautiful. We had a whole apartment with a connecting room making it a 2-bed room. We had a private small “pool” up on the terrace. The walls looked a little dirty, by the bathroom/room window on both rooms.. apart from that we had a great stay. Check-in was a little complicated as there was nobody when we arrived.. self check-in it was… the hotel looks very elegant, had a pool and bar. We did not get to use either because we arrived late 8-10pm, and we only stayed for one night. For sure we will stay here again if we ever go back to Tulúm! Add a microwave for a plus plus .

if you want relaxation…this is it. Amazing boutique hotel! Wonderful & friendly staff (Sabrina and Veronica). The chilaquiles were the best I’ve ever had for breakfast! The only downside I had was within walking distance there is not much as they are still building up around the area. I’d suggest renting a bike or scooter.

Majaro is a perfect place to ruin your holidays. After a short visit there I feel nothing more than being scammed. Two days before arrival I have made a reservation for four nights there. On the pictures the hotel looks amazing, in the reality... well, you know those comparisons "instagram vs. reality". A tiny pool, poor quality of materials used all around. Manager that we've been waiting for 20 minutes. Noone was there, even though we have informed them earlier about the time of our arrival. An empty "reception desk" (there was even no desk!). Everything is far from those magical pictures, but it might be acceptable. The problem is although different - everything around the hotel! If you drive something different than SUV or Jeep - easy to break the suspension or tear off the bumper, as there basically is no road. You just drive through a junkyard, it cannot even be called a road. Still, it's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem with Majaro is - the hotel is JUST IN THE MIDDLE of the construction site. Someone in the reviews mentioned that it is a gem in the area. Well - it is the only one finished. There is no road, no other finished building, 5 other hotels being built with ALL THE NOISE ALL AROUND YOU. A noise you cannot stand, it's not a sound of a small drilling machine, it is a very loud noise, the one making your head aches after 5 minutes. As I discussed it with manager of the hotel, he said that he is aware and "It's not that big problem. It's not a whole day. Only 8AM to 5-6PM." People that had been checking in before us were supposed to stay there for three nights, but due to noise asked to shorten it to one night. We were supposed to stay four nights, but after spending there 15 minutes I already had a headache. I explained to the manager that after a really long trip I really wanted to stay there, but I just can't. You don't go on holidays as a punishment, but to relax. Staying in the Majaro would be nothing else than a punishment. The last thing after long trip I wanted to do was finding a different hotel, especially for the same night (it is not easy, as usually everything else is booked by then). But I just had to. In a nice atmosphere we said goodbye and spent another two hours on finding a last minute hotel. And now the best part. I mailed booking to get the refund and after a while got the reply that maybe I should contact them myself because they don't get any response. I did. Three times. With zero response. (Yeah, I know, they were being busy doing nothing, I have already seen that when noone was sitting at the "reception desk"- maybe it was too loud for them?) Fourth time I asked if they suddenly cannot reply to messages, so I got my reply - that I WON'T GET MY REFUND, BECAUSE THAT WAS NON-REFUNDABLE OFFER and the SYSTEM (yeah, sure) is not allowing to cancel the reservation without any PENALTY FEE. I understand if I didn't get there. I understand this, if I made a reservation months ago and blocked the room from

Could have been so much better Majaro hotel has a great design, charming courtyard with a small pretty pool & lovely rooms. The stuff are friendly & doing their best. But the overall lack of management is evident. Nothing is thought-through. Bathrooms are missing bathroom mats. When body soap or shampoo runs out, it’s not refilled. We stayed for 11 nights - bed linen & towels had not been chdmged, not once. There was a kitchen with a long, beautiful island in our room & a double hob - but no kitchen equipment, not even a spoon. Breakfast is included, but it’s terrible, amateurish, the coffee is bad too. Shame that something so well-designed is run in such a hopeless manner.
