After having not been to Tulum in 20+ years, I was stoked to still find a chill eco-spot like this amidst the madness of "luxury" and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Maria Felix and it was up high and set back, so it felt very private. We never even heard our downstairs neighbors. The room and large terrance were so comfy that we never wanted to leave! The view and sound of the ocean are to die for. There is a mosquito net, however, it doesn't really do anything but "look cute". They also supply a cooler, purified water and ice (at reception!). The bathroom was on the other side of the (outdoor) landing. We had hot water a couple times, but no matter. There was also a storm, and we had a wee-bit of a flood in both rooms (Palapas, yo). It was kinda funny and exciting! The beach club is on the smaller side and we were able to get a spot every day without issue. They save them for guests up until 11AM. If you are an early riser in Tulum? The world is your oyster. We didn't eat anything (Italian on a hot beach didn't make sense for us!), but the guys who were waiting on everyone were SUPER cool. They were slammed (Xmas) and I had to fend for myself a bit while they served big groups with big monies! By the end of our stay, the guys were practically homies. The staff of the entire place was AWESOME. The reception workers, housekeeping, security, the grounds-guys... everyone just RULED. *********However, for the love of god, pay for your room BEFORE you get there. We were asked to pay with CASH (ffs!) or Paypal... but PP couldn't "find" the owners email address. My card immediately put a delay on the transaction and then at my second attempt to pay (AFTER FOUR DAYS OF TRYING), my card was blocked by Visa. It was SO STRESSFUL... until they finally sent me a pay request hours before we were checking out, and of course, it worked. Thank goodness I had an additional credit card with me. Could have just paid the first day.*********** PLEASE, Mrs Hotel Esperanza, PLEASE get a legit email address for your legit business. And get a credit card machine (for RECEPTION!) to go with the hotel name, and not "beach club". I love your staff for being so patient in trying to figure all of it out. But I was freaked out the entire stay due to this. We will definitely be back as long as places like this still exist in Tulum.

First I’d like to say that the staff was VERY nice, friendly , and accommodating. We felt welcomed and our requests were met. I will say if you’re looking for a true outdoorsy experience with nature, then this is the place. We stayed in the Celia Cruz room and it was interesting to say the least. The room was prettt small especially with our luggage but the view and distance to ocean was worth it! Each day we were welcomed with a surprise “poop” on the floor and during our first stay, the toilet stopped working, so as mentioned it was an interesting stay but we made the best of it for 4 days. One thing that isnt mentioned and caught us by surprise is that ou do have to pay to enter the hotel zone because the hotel is on a national park. The fee is $3 daily (if you leave the area) otherwise you pay one time and they give you a wristband. For convenience RENT A CAR we learned the hard way and walked every where or took a taxi which can quickly add up. Having a car makes it easier for you to visit the centre and other nearby places because the taxi prices are pretty high. All in all I’d rate my experience a 7 out of 10 for the reason. The best part aside from the views, would be the restaurants!! Soooo many delicious options to choose from! If you’re still reading and wondering if you should go, go for it! It’s the perfect place to reset your mind

The property has a very outdoor cabin feel to it it was decent but not luxury. Its good for a person who likes more of the nature feeling. I personally prefer luxury with a hint of the natural feeling but it was okay.

The Canova Beach Club proved to be an exceptional beachfront experience. My sisters and I were truly impressed by the top-notch service provided by Manuel and Ivan. The food, drinks, and the beach itself were absolutely splendid. If you're searching for a beach club with a fantastic a**osphere, delicious beverages, and mouthwatering cuisine, Canova Beach Club at Playa Esperanza is the perfect choice. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to visit twice during our stay. Without a doubt, we'll return whenever we find ourselves in Tulum again.

Super location, with an amazing beach, super chill and relax. The rooms are good, all working correctly, but obviously the top point is the location. Great lounge on the beach, with a mega relaxed area, with no noise and no one around. Only down thins is that F&B are only available from 10 to 5 which is a bit of a let down, but for the relax, it was worth it. 2 minutes walking distance from a nearby restaurant and bar at the beach. If looking for peace and relax, it's the right place. Looking for a fancy place... try something else.

Nice, exotice property in the quiet part of the beach. Location is perfect and that's what you're paying for. The reception and the waiters were kind. Emily is a treasure for the property, very kind and in service for everything you need on the beach. :) Good food at the restaurant. Cons- my room was really small. But I was prepared for it (photo is wide angle). Housekeeping is not good.

LUXE BEACH HOUSE *we chose a gorgeous bungalow with all the mods cons- shower, bathroom, air con, veranda, hammocks and bedroom with gorgeous double bed. **if I could give 6 stars to Paula, I would. Huge thanks & well done to - Andres & Paula. Excellent customer service. From check in, to check out. Perfect English & helpful tips to getting around tulum. 5 stars well done. Do ask them for advice on where to go. ***Emily was the perfect host. Beyond helpful. Well done & was so attentive. Again perfect customer service. Everyone involved including cafe, restaurant excellent and polite. •location- inside the reserve itself. •transport- we got a taxi into the beach resort. It’s quite deep into the reserve & darkness comes early in February. Taxis easily available & 1 day we hired bikes for 24 hours very cheap with resort. This enabled us to go to cenotes, tulum centre in about 25 minute bicycle ride. •we chose the beach house with air con. Important you know this as we wanted all the modern features. •peaceful, quiet. Beach houses. •pool is perfect size over looking the ocean. It wasn’t crowded when we went & they provided beach, bar and food service. •food & drinks- perfect for lunch & breakfast. Closed at 5pm so order before. Nice open dining area. Simple, romantic and cute. •Food- excellent quality & superb cocktails. I loved the margaritas, pastas, chicken salad and omelette for breakfast. •cleanliness - our beach bungalow was cleaned every day to a high standard. Super clean. Well done. Free toiletries are stunning and made me smile. Shower was magical. •size of room- medium but you don’t need a huge room. The veranda had lovely sun beds. •only thing missing was a wardrobe. It wasn’t a big issue just a watch out. •night time- the resort was peaceful and quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. •beach- literally opposite the pool from inside resort. Very nice. Yes lots of sea**** but that can’t be helped. It’s nature. It didn’t spoil our holiday & happens more in March. •beach clubs- you can use an areas of sun beds opposite this resort for free. This was a huge winner: we saw lots of beach clubs but didn’t go. Our resort was perfect. •restaurants & beach clubs - all along the beach from the resort. Our favourite was 2 doors down for dinner - CINCO TULUM. Excellent prices and delicious. Fresh tuna. Fish, spaghetti, even pizzas were delicious. Well done guys. Excellent holiday in tulum Key tip- they have on site bar, breakfast, lunch and very early dinner. But the supermarket is far. This resort is to fully relax so take things like bottled water before you arrive if you prefer to not rely on the beach bar. Breakfast opens around 9am and not before so it’s good to know this
