NO! DONT DO IT!! RUN!!!! If you value your sleep don’t stay here. When I say it was loud it’s an understatement. My husband and I played the white noise from our phones to try to drown out the noise but it was impossible. You could hear the music blaring from the beach club and from the bar across the street. It was exaggeratedly loud. On an other note the hotel tried putting us in a room that we didn’t book. They tried to put us in a room where we would need to shared a restroom. The room we booked was a 100% private room. If you do stay don’t store your food in the fridge. The staff goes through ALL bags looking to see if you have stored alcohol which is prohibited. Imagine if they are sick or didn’t wash their hands and they are rummaging through your food?

Be AWARE!! While the rooms are nice and spacious. The front desk service experience is competent and good. The biggest disappointment I discovered that the beach is not accessible because nasty brown sargassum that’s taken over the entire coastline in Caribbean at this time of the year. Nasty sulphur odour around/ near the beach. Nobody mentioned this situation until we checked in and were taken to our hotel room. One of the biggest reasons I was travelling to Tulum is for accessibility to a clean clear coastline. I was totally disappointed.

We had such a good time here. The pizza was super fresh and tasty, and the overall vibe was really chill. We ate outside at the restaurant, right by the beach, and the ambiance was just so relaxed. I even posted a pic! It’s the kind of spot where you can eat, hang out, and just enjoy without feeling rushed. Turns out the place is under new management and they’re doing a lot of remodeling. And yeah, some areas could still use a bit more maintenance, but honestly, it didn’t bother us. The energy felt easygoing and fun. Breakfast is included too and not just the usual eggs and toast. They had real Mexican food and it was actually delicious! At night, they have DJs and parties that guests can join for free. We went a couple of times and had a blast. Lots of house music, good vibes, and it kept the energy fun but still chill. Overall, between the food, the beachside, and everything near by, it’s totally worth it! We’d definitely stay again.

Okay, so real talk: I’ve stayed here before with my family back when it was Selina, and let’s just say… it had potential, but definitely missed the mark. But this time? Totally different vibe. They’ve rebranded as Mía, and you can immediately see and feel the glow-up. I’m talking actual maintenance staff walking around (hallelujah), complimentary coffee and water in the rooms, and you can tell the rooms are mid-remodel — in the best way. Clean, fresh, and getting a much-needed facelift. We came back mainly because it’s right in the heart of Tulum, like, walking distance to all the good bars and restaurants (because duh, priorities!! lol ). And now, they even offer free transportation from the airport to the hotel and back, which was such a bonus. Nightlife was lit, the hammocks were a vibe, and I may or may not have taken way too many random pics of our stay (uploaded a few just for the memories). I’m giving this place 5 stars- not because it’s perfect, but because it’s genuinely getting better, and I love seeing the changes. Can’t wait to see what else is new next time we’re back!

I’ve stayed here twice—once when it was called Selina, and more recently as Mía—and honestly, the second time was even better. The whole vibe is just unmatched. Super chill, right on the beach, and just good energy all around. The playa de noche was a favorite—music, lights, ocean breeze… it felt kind of magical. I loved hanging out in the hammocks and being able to eat right on the sand. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just enjoy. This time around, they were offering $50 massages right by the beach, which was such a nice surprise. Also, the continental breakfast was a solid little bonus in the morning. Some areas could use a bit of maintenance, but for the price? Totally worth it. Mía really leveled up from what I remembered. Can’t wait to go back.

An amazing place, excellent staff and overall accomandation. The welcome was warm, friendly and with attention. The room was clear, spacious and fully meeting expacfations (photos). The pool areas is great, nice louges beds, good music and an amazing crew to serve superb drinks. Good attention for details and the two barmen are the best. Breakfast is also good, a various menu with good cafe. Also here the staff is the best. The reception desk staff needs an extra shout out for there advises where to eat, and more inportant where not to eat!! Last but not least the place is secure, all the noise stays out and the entrance is well secured wirh, afain, great staff. Overall impression of Tulum is mixed but the Mia Tulum Resort make our stay amazing!!!
