I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel, where the rooms are elevated among the trees. As soon as I saw the hotel online, I booked it right away just based on the photos - and I’m happy to say the real experience did not disappoint me! My stay was fantastic (not perfect, but close). I got to try two room types: the Superior Studio (#D4), which I originally booked, and the Superior Suite (#D6), which I was upgraded to for my last two nights as a sweet Birthday gift from the hotel. Both rooms were spacious and had the same beautiful design - modern, minimalistic, and focused on natural materials, very Tulum-style. The best part was the floor-to-ceiling geometric windows with wooden frames, flooding the room with natural daylight and offering amazing jungle views. The Suite (#D6) is located two levels higher than the Studio (#D4), so the view is even better - you can see all over the treetops, while the Studio gives more of a close-up feel of the trees around you, which is also lovely. The Superior Studio had only a shower stall, and the shower worked perfectly - strong water pressure and hot water right away. The Suite had a nice bonus in addition to the shower: a big bathtub right by the window. Both - the Studio and the Suite - had a separate sink and vanity section, toilets in separate little rooms, and high-quality bath products that smelled great. There were air conditioners, plus ceiling fans above the bed in the rooms, which helped cool the rooms down well. Wi-Fi worked well and was fast enough in both rooms. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Carlos - he helped me with everything from renting an ATV for a reasonable price to arranging my delicious Birthday cake. Housekeeping was also excellent and did a great job with cleaning the rooms. The hotel provides beach towels (you just have to ask for them at the front desk). The hotel’s location is great - right in the heart of the Tulum Beach Zone, close to restaurants, beach clubs, and next to a big GOmart grocery store. I paid $112 per night, and I think it was a really great deal for such a special and unique overall experience at the hotel. Now, the MINUSES. For the Superior Studio (#D4) – Super uncomfortable small bed (for two people) with awful, hard pillows. No refrigerator in the room, and there really should be one. The air conditioner didn’t work well at all - even at the lowest setting (16°C), the room never got cold. Very small safe that was broken and couldn’t be closed. Limited space to hang or store clothes. Only one small garbage can in the room, located in the restroom. No toilet brush by the toilet. For the Superior Suite (#D6) – Not a very soundproof room; I could hear some noise from the club next to the hotel every single night. The bed was also small (for two people) and not very comfortable, but the mattress and pillows were better than in the Studio. No refrigerator in the room. Very small safe. Small section for clothes, with not many hang

On check in the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We originally booked a bungalow, and found the room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. However, we then got a free upgrade to a room with a glass dome and it was phenomenal. I loved the bathtub, views and style of the room. It was super clean and comfy, I would not hesitate to stay again in this room class. When first booking, I was not sure what to expect and was on the fence about staying, but honestly it was all so worth it. I would definitely recommend the upgraded rooms, you will not regret it. Also, the location is fab too. Great if you want to hit the beach clubs and local restaurants. I would say this is a unique experience and would recommend it for 1-3 nights, unless you are at one with nature, then I would say stay as long as you would like.

Pros: amazing treehouse experience, true to the bohemian style we expected, comfortable bed, shower and room in general. We tried their food for breakfast only once (not included so we ordered extra) and we really enjoyed it. The location is also great for those who want to spend their days by the beach. Entrance to the beach was around 10' away from a different hotel, but there was still access. Those complaining that they were not allowed entry to the beach, I'm just reminding that the hotel doesn't promise that or advertise they provide it. Cons: it is indeed hard to sleep being next to the club. If you're not a party animal going out and you want to sleep early like us you will struggle most of the time. The room could also be more polished to match the price (and actually look like the pictures) but whoever took care of the cleaning did their best, plus we had fresh towels everyday. Lastly, our room had a ladder to the bed (which we appreciated to get that treehouse experience) but if we were not fit or had any hear of heights we would have struggled a lot - make sure you know how your room looks like before booking, we think that the pictures are not very detailed to understand this kind of details in advance. Overall we truly enjoyed our jungle stay!

My partner and I were robbed whilst swimming. Passport, personal items, credit cards you name it! Ruined the whole holiday. They took no responsibility, wouldn’t call the police and said in the morning they had the new cleaners name, photo information ect and then in the afternoon said the didn’t know anything about him. The cleaners first day apparently. All too suspicious for our liking. Shower leaked straight onto bedroom floor, tarp pulled over windows when hot flaps in the wind and noisy, dirty and not well maintained. Power went out, no water and wifi for half of the day. No flushing toilet or fan cooling in very hot weather in a half glass house. Terrible! Be careful!

I took my first solo trip to Tulum and Mamasan Treehouse was the second hotel where I landed.I had just come from a very luxurious hotel in La Veleta. So arriving here in the jungle was very different for me. From the very beginning, Maria, Jimmy, and Angel were extremely hospital and friendly. This was a birthday trip for me. I stayed at 3 hotels, and Mamasan was the only place that acknowledged my birthday with a welcome card and flower. Then later that evening, Angel and Jimmy surprised me with birthday sweet treats and sang happy birthday to me as I was having drinks at the rooftop bar. The room itself, became even more special as time went on and I began to see the true beauty of it and managed to get some beautiful photos there. I booked for only one night, but wish I’d had time to stay an additional night. You will appreciate the views and the rawness and authenticity of this room when you stay here. It’s truly magical in the early mornings and nights.

DO NOT STAY HERE. No one could have slept in the room they provided me. There was music from a neighboring club (called TOXIC) blaring at midnight, and the room doesn't have any walls - it's all glass, like an aquarium - so it was like I was in the club. And there aren't even blackout shades. The room was too bright and too loud for anyone to have comfortably slept in it. Also you can't even lock the sliding door from the inside - nothing about it felt safe or relaxing. After five minutes in the room, I left and asked for a refund so I could go and sleep in another hotel They refused the refund, so ate the $500 and left - it was that bad. Save yourself the pain and find a better hotel to stay at. It looks charming in pictures, but in real life it looks more like the parking lot of a night club.

Watching the sunset, stars and sunrise from the room was incredible. The room was very modern and comfortable. Jaime, who handled our check-in, was very helpful with the room, our luggage and other tips about the area, while when we had an issue with the toilet he rushed to fix it by himself so we wouldn't have to wait for a technician
