It's a new hotel, so there's construction going on all around it. I was very disappointed because I had to pay extra instead of getting a free upgrade to a larger room. It will be better next summer again.

Everything is a little slower and grungier today as tourist-oriented Indonesia still reels from their covid shut down and Bagus Bay is no exception. Don't expect 5-star accommodations but know that the staff are kind and helpful and even those who don't speak much English will try to help you figure things out. Sadly, the Wed/Sat Batak dances don't seem to be happening even though they are still advertised. Good value budget place with some beautiful (and some dull) architecture and rooms. Bring all your own toiletries, including soap, since those aren't included. It is a popular place with both local families and foreigners and the restaurant has tasty food.

The hotel is very friendly and efficient, and is very nice and efficient. The room was dirty and they made their cleaning when I asked for it, but the noise has been terrific since 6:00am, because local tourism speaks with a high volume in common areas (swimming pool, restaurant, etc.). Airlines with the French EXPLORATOR agency, based in Paris, because they change accommodation and route one week before the trip starts.

The view is unbeatable, breathtaking, unbelievable. We booked 7 rooms, including the top cottages villa. The view is much more breathtaking from this cottage villa, because it’s the highest room. But, the staff especially front office girl and boy not helping and very very not friendly. Zero in communication. My room is also not prepared dan cleaned when i check in; there’s leftover food waste in the refrigerator covered by FUNGI. Brilliant. Maybe because there’s too much room but less standard and staffs. Hopefully you guys fix it, be better.

Hospitality is different. The greeting was short and sweet. I was shown to my room without a word. Breakfast is only available upon request. Room cleaning was not carried out. In short, the location is great but not difficult on an island. I wouldn't go there again book .

We booked 2 night for standard mountain view room, we got at first floor number 18. The room was clean, there are amenities (soap, shampoo, slipper, towel, coffe, tea, sugar, etc) safe deposit box and fan too. The bed comfortable, the staff and owner is honest and hospitality, many variance for breakfast. Hotel area is clean and i thought the swimming pool no chlorine cause the water is fresh. Just improved hot water inside bathroom sometime hot and sometime cold every 5 second maybe. Overall is very good and best value
