Today, January 9, we had a disappointing lunch at the Audubon Bar and Grill of the Arizona Inn. I ordered the Chef’s Burger expecting the same amazing burger I had in August as it was still on the menu exactly as before. Today, what a huge disappointment. The toppings of the burger were so muddled up into a big salty saucy mess. I couldn’t tell what I was eating! My husband had the Mahi fish tacos which were completely different from those he raved about in August. This time, there were small squares of fish in a soggy single corn tortilla. Set of three with some garnish and a little 1/4 cup of beans. At $24 for the Chef’s Burger and $22 for the Mahi tacos, you can do better elsewhere for less. Sadly, we were celebrating my best friend’s birthday and she ordered the Az Inn Burger which was nothing special, especially at $22; her husband, the same Mahi tacos as my hubby. PS. Don’t get the Mocha Tres Leches cake.

What a wonderful place to stay at. It is near everything in Tucson as well as the mountains, yet once you are on the extensive, secluded grounds you feel as if you are in a mini paradise. We were there for 4 nights and had dinner and breakfast at the Inn - both delicious and served with the freshest ingredients with a large variety of dishes to choose from. The staff throughout was friendly, helpful and cheerful. Our room was large with a private, walled outdoor sitting area with a table/chairs as well as two lounge chairs. When we arrived home my husband realized he dropped his wedding band on our way out from our room. He was ready to buy a new one but called the Inn to tell them where he thought he dropped it. They called later to say it had been found and they were returning it to us!!! Who could believe that? The Inn also has a lovely tea in the afternoon with really delicious little sandwiches, scones and pastries - both sweet and savory and very tasty. I cannot say enough good things about the Arizona Inn as well as Tucson which is an enchanting place to visit.

This is a special place, in the same family for generations. The site itself is very beautiful and authentic. Wonderful swimming pool. Very well kept up. Old world feel. The staff is very nice, professional and welcoming. My only down is the food. The breakfast avocado toast has almost no avocado. I saw that each day. Also, the bread is generic. There are excellent bakeries in Tucson! Too bad since the setting is so beautiful. Soon back with room service. And I still absolutely recommend this place.

Old world charm. It’s a classy and relaxing place that I would highly recommend. It’s not a corporate hotel, it’s such a nice change. My grandmother used to come and stay here for a month, and I can see why. Nestled in the heart of Tucson, you would think you are out on a remote ranch. The landscaping is immaculate, the service impeccable and the food in the dining rooms is excellent

I hosted a small dinner party at Arizona Inn--the food and service were outstanding. The great setting and fantastic weather made for a memorable evening. Working with Crystal was a pleasure and the prices were quite fair. I was impressed with every aspect of the event and recommend Arizona Inn without reservation.

Wonderful hotel, with tons of history and charm. The pool and public spaces are fantastic. My only potential criticism would be that our room was a bit long in the tooth an could use a refresh- but this is definitely a hotel that is all about its history so it sort of fits. (And the history is cool- built by a woman, Isabella Greenway, who was the first Congresswoman from AZ, was married to not one but two guys who were Rough Riders at San Juan Hill, and much more). For example the closet is huge, like 8'x 6', over 20 square feet, because people used to move in for months at a time with steamer trunks. It is all casita style- so you have a little patio and the rooms are big. It is sort of a campus, and has beautiful gardens. It is very charming. and very central, near the university. I think they do a big wedding business. We only stayed one night en route to our stay at a dude ranch south of Tucson (Elkhorn ranch) and it was perfect. Definitely going back next year. The New York Times had an article about it being Linda Ronstadt's favorite hotel when she comes to visit her family.

This is such a beautiful place to stay. The room was very comfortable, staff were very helpful and friendly and it was located close to places to eat. The grounds were full of flora and the outdoor amenities were great! It was also very quiet and I slept like a baby. I also enjoyed the private patio that was outside my room. I highly recommend this place!

This is a lovely place where we have stayed many times. The service is impeccable, in most cases far above what is normal these days. The grounds are wonderful. Afternoon tea is a bonus, and it is nice to see newspapers still available. There is one problem, though: the dining room is closed most of the time, and patrons have to crowd into the bar, often with waits, to be fed. No one could explain to me why this was the case, and other luxury hotels in the region don't seem to have the problem. They have been saying for months full dining service is about to be restored but it never happens.
