The cruise was -to my relief- not as busy on the waters as I thought it would be. And the boat was moored at a quiet location quite a distance from other boats so we had a sense of privacy and the water was clean and perfect for swimming and the morning-after kayaking. Try to get a room on the 2nd floor if you don’t sang yo bd bothered by the locals on sampan outside your window selling stuff!Tour guide informed us that the government has relocated all the oyster farms and fish farms to prevent further pollution to the bay- good move to return Halong Bay to its pristine natural beauty! Definitely recommended to do a one night cruise!

We felt a little bit rushed and did not have much time to relax and enjoy the boat. We embarked at 1315 and disembarked at 1030 the next morning, having been up at 6am for tai chi then breakfast then kayaking then brunch.
The food was mostly good, the drinks were quite expensive
The staff were good and overall it was enjoyable.

Overall room is great. I hope there will be cover/big unbrella on the top level then I can bring my books for reading and relax in the afternoon.
