Officially, Man Eaters Camp is situated just beyond the borders of Tsavo, but you still find yourself immersed in the heart of the wilderness. From our tent's balcony, we were treated to the sight of elephants, monkeys, and even a hippo. It truly boasts the most breathtaking balcony view EVER :-) The property isn’t fenced (which, in this context, makes the camp's name somewhat audacious), but we felt entirely safe throughout our entire stay.
If you're visiting Tsavo to immerse yourself in the wonders of wildlife, this is undoubtedly the place to stay. The rooms are more budget-friendly than lodges within the park, despite being just a 15-minute ride from the park's entrance gate. The camp is impeccably maintained by its welcoming staff. The safari tents are both luxurious and spotlessly clean, the restaurant serves delicious food, and the swimming pool is a delightful treat after a dusty game drive. Our children were particularly fond of the ping pong and pool tables. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.
