A most excellent small hotel. Located right in the old section of Trujillo just a short walk from the Plaza Mayor and castle. The owners Karla and Herman were quite friendly and welcoming, immediately helping with bags and Herman came out into the street to help me find parking. The room was large, bright and clean. Nice efficiency kitchen, table and chairs and large bathroom with excellent walk in shower. The terrace overlooking the garden was beautiful, also with table and chairs for enjoying the space, vines winding on supports with new blooms opening. The owners were also very helpful with activities and finding places to eat, I enjoyed both places they recommended. Would stay there again happily!

Excellent guest house stay where we were greeted by the wonderful owners who are a truly lovely family. Herman kindly helped us find parking by joining us in the hire car. Prior to visiting we were informed of various restaurants to try in which we tried 2 and we were very impressed. The room was spacious and the guest house was beautiful and authentic in style. I would stay here again and recommend to others. I will continue to support local authentic places to stay in the future

An absolutely fabulous & exceptional place to stay to visit the beautiful town of Trujillo which is just 5' walk away to the main square. The pictures dont do justice to this lovely place - the garden & the room were just wonderful. Our hosts, Herman & Karla (and new reception manager!), were wonderfully welcoming, attentive, thoughtful, kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the studio with garden view & it was so well equipped with everything!! Everything was of such a good quality including our special preferences of good wine glasses & decent coffee cups, good towels & extra pillows! Secure parking was an extra plus as was Herman helping us with our luggage on arrival & departure. It was a very happy place & we shared many humorous & lovely moments with our hosts

A wonderful accomadation, all perfect. The hosts/owners are absolutely charming, will go out of their way to help you with any request. I had a studio with terrace on the garden, A perfect place to saty to explore the area.

Absolutely wonderful small hotel in the heart of the city. Clean, comfortable, quiet and fantastic owners Karla and Herman. Had a room overlooking the garden that was equipped with a small kitchenette with everything I needed. No elevator however that wasn't a problem. The garden and pool were a definite plus. Came in from Madrid via bus and even through it is within walking distance to the hotel, I was picked up by the owner. Would highly recommend.

We spent two nights in this wonderful establishment. Ideal place to unwind. The studio has everything and everything is super clean. The charming owner is attentive to all our needs. We felt at home. We will definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights in a studio overlooking the garden. The place is nice, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The owners are people willing to inform and recommend about the city and surroundings. Very central but very quiet place.

Spectacular. I have no words to describe the stay at El Baciyelmo: unbeatable location, the owners are incredible and very friendly, the studio with all the comforts: underfloor heating, beautiful decoration, comfortable bed and views of a wonderful garden which we could not enjoy the pool. 100% recommended

3 nights in El Trujillo in May 2022. Herman, the host, had been approached by us in advance with the request to help with a bad toothache. When we arrived, he took us to a dentist and turned out to be indispensable in the contact. The fact that the first pharmacy did not have the correct medication, after which others had to be visited, also turned out to be no problem for him. It more or less saved our holiday. We had a small studio, but that designation does not do our studio justice. Excellent beds, spacious shower and small cooking facilities were more than sufficient. That is why we extended one night. Herman and Carla write SERVICE in capital letters and made us very happy. The car immediately went into a garage, which was one less thing to worry about in that small car-free center. El Trujillo is also a beautiful town with a wonderful atmosphere. It is also located in an excellent environment for bird watchers, so it is not too far to drive to beautiful locations. All in all, I highly recommend staying here
