Stay was supposed to be from February 6-10 (4 nights). Had to wait for room to be ready. When it was finally ready, I arrived in the room and the floor was still wet and the room had an overall “wet/mildew-y” smell. I let that go. I opened up the patio to my “luxury room ocean front” - nice view, on my way in to close the door, I noticed mold on the drapes. Was disappointed but even let this second red flag go. Got in the shower after a long day of travel and there were two moths stationary in there. Tried to kill both. It was a mess. Now, I’m pissed. My plan was to take a quick nap before going out that night. Pull back the cover, inspect the bed. When it got to pillows and side of headboard, I noticed one bug crawling. Pulled the other pillow back, there were more. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing at this “luxury resort”. Thankfully, I hadn’t yet unpacked my stuff. Called the front desk asking the bell person to come and get my bag since there is no way I was staying in this filthy $500 per night room! They sent up two gentlemen to inspect the room and the bed. They saw what I saw. Crawling bugs. They left, the bellman came up and get my bags and took me back to the lobby. The front desk was aloof. They told me that they are at max capacity, have no other rooms but what they will do is “fumigate the room” and while they do that, how about I go “have dinner and relax”. I’m sorry what?! I checked out less than 2 hours after I checked in. Horrible, horrible experience!!!
