Motel 6 Gresham, or - Portland

They were good and room was clean and it was quite. I like the respectful staff.

Housekeeping was very nice, attentive and helpful. Front desk when it was time to check out was good. It was noisy at night, but it was more than likely the apartments near-by. Room was clean when my daughter and i got there. Only issue was tub wouldn't stay filled, ended using a rag to stop water.

The toilet ran constantly, though maintenance seemed to be replacing all of the toilets on our floor. I guess they just hadnt gotten to our room yet. The toilet also leaked smelly water occasionally. The sheets on the bed were stained with cigarette burns but they did get changed when i asked for them to be. Our room had a view of the motel dumpster which constantly had people going through it day and night and a wake up call from the garbage truck every couple of days at 5am. We stayed a week but never knew when to be out of the room for housekeeping because they came at all different times of the day, from 10am to 4pm.

The clerk at the counter was not pleasant when we checked in. He was not friendly or nice and actually very rude. When we parked he came out and told us there we couldn't park where we did and that's why there were cones, but there was no cone in the space we parked and I pointed that out to him. My husband said he would move and I suggested he grab another cone so it would be more clear and he said he would just refund the money and we can leave, he walked in saying he was going to call the manager to get us to leave. No one ever showed up to ask us to leave. There was mold in the windows and bathtub, stained sheets and towels and hair in the tub as well. The bed wasn't terrible but it was very noisy with people walking by the window and down the hall at all hours of night and being close to the road.

The room was surprisingly nice, and more spacious than I expected, but freezing… the heater was turned off in 16 degree weather, so it took a couple hours to warm up. The rooms are much nicer than the hallways, stairwells, and building exterior.

Don’t recommend. The power and the hot water went out and we checked out a day early and the front desk says they will still charge us for the day we aren’t there and said if we wanted to come back and stay in the room we could. If there was no hot water and power outage during a winter storm, who would want to stay. Please find another place to stay if you are traveling around here.

Felt very unsafe. We were warned by the clerk to lock up our car. The office wasn't even open. You have to check in through a plexiglass window! I worked at this motel back in the 70's when it was the Coachman Inn. Very different these days. Will never be back!

Front desk was lacking in the welcoming vibe big time when we checked in that night. housekeeping came to the door at 1030am to ask if we were checking out, despite us telling the front desk at 10am over the phone we'd be out at 11am (checkout time is 11am) then the housekeeper came back twice before 11am and had the front desk call at 1058am. I felt rushed out prior to the 11am checkout time, and this wasn't even a late checkout time request but the standard check out time. Lots of noise all night long made it extremely difficult to sleep. Bathtub stopper did not work had to use my sock as a plug to take a bath. Skimpy on the towels, in addition to the towels being rough and looking dingy/dirty. The room was all around run down in appearance. On the bright side, the soda machine was only $1 and had both coke and mnt dew, and the room was large enough for my wheelchair to move around, albeit the bathroom and vanity area are not ADA accessible at all.
