Bryce Trails Bed and Breakfast

We arrived after midnight , yet there was a welcome note , easy check-in, tour maps, books and brochures, a reminder for our breakfast. We couldn’t resist walking outside under the black sky sparkling with the rising moon and shooting stars! Back inside we had a big comfy bed, with 2 windows facing the golden hills - all that we needed. In the morning, I had a short walk - the air was cool. I watched the humming birds and said hello to the cats and chickens. We enjoyed eggs benedict and lattes before we went off hiking in Bryce Canyon. We returned in late afternoon to cups of tea and reading in the big leather chairs near the balcony. Later we walked to Stone Hearth Grille for a sunset dinner. We saw deer and jackrabbits along the way. Bryce Trails Inn exceeded our expectations and we are thinking of returning in the winter months.

Made reservations through the National Parks Reservations web site. The manager of the property sent their reservations policy via email back to the National Parks Reservations and Not to me. We made a reservation for a ground floor unit called Fairy Land since climbing stairs wasn’t possible for us. When we arrived on 7/24 we were told that this room wasn’t available and she put us in a second floor with open wooden steps to access it. We told her that we couldn’t climb those stairs. After much back and forth she said that there had been a plumbing problem. We asked to see the room and it was a pig sty…someone was living in there with dirty clothes laying on the floor, bed completely unmade, furniture covered with toiletries and personal items. She indicated that she could clean within 30 minutes. Obviously, did not believe this would happen. It was by that time 6 pm. We asked if she would refund at least half of the monies, but she said because her policy, which we never saw, allowed her to change the room, she would not refund anything. So we left and scrambled to find other lodging near Bryce Canyon. Therefore paying double for our stay! Beware of booking via the National Parks Reservations and this B&B is only a 1 star in our opinion.

We were a little early for the main season so I don't think everything was ready but we really enjoyed this place. The proprietor was very kind and willing to help. The location was excellent. Stay in the Under the Rim room for a great view (and the massage chair).

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! We booked (and prepaid!) this B&B several months ago and received several helpful email responses from Edgar regarding our expected stay. The day of our planned arrival, we received the usual welcome-type email. Unfortunately, when we arrived the doors were all locked and no one answered the bell. We called the phone number in the email (sent that very day!) and were questioned as to how we got the number, followed by contradictory information and no assistance. When we then tried calling the main number on the website it was disconnected. After no response on email from the previously friendly “Edgar,” we had to find different lodging. Apparently the owners are booking rooms and stealing the money.

Do not book here. Looks like this place used to be nice, but the owners are going through a divorce and not managing it anymore. The owner is still accepting guests online and collecting money but has left the property and his phone number is disconnected. His ex wife lives on the property but says she's not getting payed so is not managing the bnb anymore, she didn't leave us keys and said the bnb is closed and reservation should have been cancelled, but was not. We had to find another place and could not get a refund.

Really great experience! The breakfast was definitely a surprise! The variety and quality exceeded our expectations, with fresh fruits, pastries, and delicious hot dishes that made for the perfect start to our day. The scenic surroundings added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The view from the property was breathtaking, with lush greenery and peaceful landscapes that created a serene and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The environment was not only beautiful but also incredibly well-maintained, with clean and inviting common areas that made us feel right at home. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with soft bedding and all the amenities we needed for a cozy stay. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony while taking in the view was truly a highlight. We appreciated the warm and attentive service from the staff, who went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back for another peaceful retreat!
