The Salt Lodge

The Salt Lodge is a lovely place to stay in Troon. The apartments are bright , spacious and comfortable. Dogs are made very welcome with their own fleecy throws and bowl of treats. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay there again.

A fantastic 3day stay here at Salt Lodge in Troon ,from start to finish it did not disappoint, we stayed in a two bedroom family room and it was very clean a credit to the housekeepers, even the weather was lovely so we definitely pass this gem to all our friends and most definitely return, many thank,s once again .

Our first impressions when we got to The Salt Lodge was WOW, The scenery is just outstanding, On checking in we wee welcomed and shown to our lodge (NO.3). Quick wee run through what was in the lodge and the workings of things, we were left to get settled in. First impressions on the lodge were 5* Fantastic and we still had the same feeling when we left 3 days later. The bed was massive and comfortable, pillows and linen were of high quality, Large LCD Tv in bedroom as well. The bathroom was superb, full walk-in shower, heated towel rail and plenty space. The kitchen space had everything you needed for the short break away, 2 Ring Hob, Full size fridge & compartment freezer, Full size kettle & Toaster, Sink with drainer board, Full cutlery and crockery sets and all the cupboards you required. a few added touches like sugar sachets, coffee & Tea, packet of biscuits and other snacks to be had, 2 bottles of water in the fridge, full recycle bins and small paper baskets around the lodge. But the best part we had in Lodge No.3 was the stunning terrace with views. We have also found our new island hop, the ferry (75mins) from Troon takes you into Brodick on the Isle of Arran........ Absolutely fantastic. we would 100% return for another few days.

The value for money at the Salt Lodge is amazing! Such a beautiful space with kitchen facilities, two massive tvs with all the apps you would need, a comfy sofa area and massive comfy bed. The balcony view over the marina was the cherry on the cake. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be returning again!

We booked three rooms for Hogmanay (one premium, one standard and one dog friendly) to accommodate us all after our wedding. Staff: From the moment I contacted Gordon to book the rooms, to the check in process and all our interactions with staff over the two days we stayed it was absolutely 10/10 for customer service. Everyone we met couldn’t do enough to help. Rooms: All three if the rooms we booked we immaculate with a real premium feel throughout. The little extras like the Arran Aromatics products and the dog welcome basket left was brilliant! I have never stayed anywhere as a group where all the rooms were so clean, tidy and well appointed. Overall, we will all 100% be back to the salt lodge, it should not be overlooked and having stayed/worked at most of the hotels in Troon I can’t think of one that is anywhere close to this standard of room.

Wonderful two night stay for four friends at the Salt Lodge in The Family Apartment & a Superior Apartment. Both are immaculately appointed with so many lovely thoughtful extra touches. The staff are delightful & we received a very warm welcome & great service. Having the proximity to Scotts Restaurant is an added bonus for complete relaxation. We all very much enjoyed staying and are resolved to return.
