Tres Mujeres Hotel and Yoga Retreat

As travelers who prefer not to go to the same place twice, it says volumes that we returned to Tres Mujeres for a second year, as it felt like home away from home. Our room was spacious enough, equipped with a fridge, safe, AC, closet space, washroom that was partially open to the outside, and an oceanfront patio. The hotel is well situated in the middle of the beach, allowing for a nearly 1 hour walk in each direction. It’s a wild beach, often rocky, and not conducive for swimming. But that allows you beach walks with passing very few people, and no loud music from crowded beachfront restaurants which don’t exist. We were there at Christmas time, however tranquility prevailed. Being a very small hotel, we loved how all the guests were open to visiting, while at the same time allowing for quiet time. Mexican and non-Mexican families, and lots of their delightful small dogs enjoy this beautiful place. So easy to spend the day relaxing with a beach walk, lazing at the pool, enjoying the glorious sunsets, and walking to several of the nearby restaurants (some offer live music) and coffee shops. And if you want more, a short walk into town, or a taxi ride to several nearby beaches adds some adventure to your stay. When we’ve been there, there haven’t been any yoga classes, although there are regular classes at a hotel next door, but there are yoga mats and a yoga palapa steps away from the ocean for your own practice. Bring your own refillable water bottle, as there is a large filtered water dispenser in the common kitchen area. Our suggestion for an easy improvement would be with the breakfasts. When we were there, every weekday there was help yourself simple continental breakfast, and three days a week they offered fresh cooked simple Mexican breakfast. It would be lovely if every day there was fresh cooked Mexican breakfast, with variation in the menu. Although we don’t really know, it seems from hearing from others that Troncones is slowly growing, so go now while it still retains charm and solitude. All in all we highly recommend this lovely, friendly hotel, and we hope to return again!

I am a repeated guest for over a decade and always go riding on the beach. I have the best time and the service is excellent. This is a private and quiet boutique hotel that allows your pets as well. I always bring Pequina who loves dog friendly beaches. Love the location and rooms as well as everyone who works there. Give Julian (the manager) a call and book your reservation for your beach getaway. I give this a five star!!

I stayed at Tres Mujeres with 2 friends and it was amazing! The property, staff and a la carte breakfasts in the morning were all fabulous. I can’t say enough of the property that is immaculately maintained and the kindness of the staff - always available and ensured our stay was 5 stars! I can’t say enough about Tres Mujeres and we’re already planning our next visit.

We absolutely loved our stay here at Tres Mujeres. It’s quiet, right on the ocean, so you can listen to the waves at night, as you lay next to the wonderful pool enjoying fresh coconut from the trees right on the property. It’s very short distance from the main town by foot and there are many good restaurant options (including a couple just across the street). We bought some eggs and cooked each morning, in addition to the waffles, coffee, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. that they provided. Julian and the other staff members provided great service. We’d love to return again soon.

Love staying at Tres Muejeres "again" where all the staff (Maritza and Julian) very hospitable and professional. The ocean views are spectacular from each Casita. Love the pool and open kitchen fully equipped for cooking fresh seafood. Pet friendly! If you want to go horseback riding on the beach ask for Luis. Will be back again for my birthday!
