The location is great for visiting Tromso. We walked to the Cathedral and to the city easily. We stayed in their explore cabin for one night and one night on a pitch in turf. The receptionist told us that when we checked out at 1pm we could go to cabin because nobody was there the night before. We said how kind. When we went in at 1:30 the next day,Maya was about to give us the keys and Victoria interrupted in Norwegian and said that the cabin was being cleaned. We know nobody stayed in any of the cabins the night before because we had to walk to see if our campervan would fit in parking space. She then lied again and said the windows were being cleaned. Which was another lie. We understand that check-in was 3pm to the cabin. For some reason she didn’t want to let us check in earlier. Customer service is if you can accommodate why wouldn’t you? Her co-workers said we could and they even looked dumbfounded when she interrupted them. (We never asked to check-I’m early) On Taco Night” we saw Victoria. She was off shift at 6:35pm on Friday, she deliberately went in front of other guests and ate all the meat, ect. piling on so much food on her plate eating everything and the rest of us in line got nothing. We asked the cook if she was going to make more she said she wasn’t making more. It was an all you can eat buffet until 8pm. The male receptionist asked the quests if they wanted a refund. We got our money back and left. Overall the place is great to visit Tromso and the staff was great except for Victoria. I’m not sure if she was having a rough day,but she needs a refresher in Customer Service. We Came back the next morning and the chef with pink hair was amazing and the breakfast was great!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were in Tromsø for over a week, and this was the perfect home base for us. The rooms are clean, neatly appointed, and exactly what you want. The lighting is really well done, very important during the polar night. The beds are incredibly comfortable. I am still dreaming about the water pressure in the shower. We were able to do laundry, which was great since our luggage was delayed. We had a six year old, so being able to cook our own meals with the kitchen allowed us to easily feed her and saved us money. It's also helpful because with jet lag, you may be hungry at 4am. There is a coffee machine in the lobby accessible 24/7, which was great. The heating is well-done, and the windows open for fresh air. We found that the photos we saw online are very representative of what we found when we arrived in terms of the rooms, etc, except that it was actually a little cozier (the lighting is nice and warm white). The wifi was consistent and strong. There are TV's, which you can sign into your streaming apps on. One flag is that you should sign off your accounts before you leave. The staff is amazing. The front desk people were all very helpful when we were trying to get taxis or had questions. And they didn't mind our kid coming down to steal cookies from the lobby. The cleaning staff is wonderful. The rooms are very clean and they were really nice and responsive when we needed to get rid of garbage or restock something. The gym is huge and way nicer than expected. Also great in the arctic. We chose this place over a more traditional hotel because of all of the amenities, and we were not disappointed. This is not located in the city center, but it's a short walk to there (about 10 minutes or so depending on weather). There is a supermarket a few minutes away, which is very convenient. The location is very good, and it is also kind of up on a hill, with nice views.
While Enter St Elizabeth Suites was away from downtown, it was a comfortable 10-15min walk with a supermarket just 5mins away. We chose the hotel for its location which is situated on a hill with nice view of the harbour and the self-service laundry which most of the other hotels in Tromso did not have. As it was recently refurbished, all corners of the hotel was clean and new. We stayed jn the One Bedroom suite with seaview for 3 nights. Bedroom was very small, with the queen bed taking up most of the walking space and there was just a wall shelf with coat rack. However, this didn’t bother us. The sofa in the living room doubles as a sofa bed which comfortably sleeps 2 teens. Kitchen was compact but well equipped with oven and dishwasher. For those who need the room to be cleaned will need to place the card outside the door the night before. Although we did not request for housekeeping service during our short stay there, the housekeeping team dropped by anyway (on day 2) to check if we needed to replenish any items. Breakfast was included. Small selection but sufficient for us. Breakfast is served on the top floor restaurant on 5th floor with nice views of the harbour. The self service laundry room is located on the 2nd floor at the other wing near the restaurant. As there was only 1 washer and 1 dryer, you’ll need to wait if someone was ahead of you. Overall a very comfortable stay and we will stay here again if we return to Tromso!

Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. It's a modern hotel and sort of designed like a ship. It's located right on the waterfront - make sure you get one of the corner rooms that feesl like it juts out into the harbor and has great views of the water, the comings and goings of the ferries and the not-so-distant peaks. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but very nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast spread is perfectly fine. But a special shoutout to the checkin staff - Johannes and Torkel - both of whom were courteous, friendly and really helpful.
This holiday was initially booked for March 2020 but due to covid it was postponed for 2 years. The staff kept in contact with me the whole time and I added extra nights. They were so lovely. We were given accommodation outside the city so if I called them they would book us taxi's. The accommodation was beautiful, very clean, modern and fully equipped. This made our stay just so perfect. I would go back 100% and recommend to everybody . Photos are view from the terrace.
The hotel just a few minutes walk to the city center. But very closed to Polaria bus station that I could walk easily with my suitcase. The staff was very helpful even there was a mistake about my check-in information but I did not have to wait too long for that. The room was clean and warm enough.
located in CBD, with all amenities nearby, good aircon, comfortable bed, good sound insulation, except when there is music in some bar.
kick scooters ryde are available everywhere.
Since my last visit 10 ys ago, there has been a lot of positive developments, public transport is good as well as some real estate investment and all that goes with it in the area.
The breakfast was great, there was absolutely nothing missing and left nothing to be desired. The location right in the city center was also perfect. The bathroom was good, especially the shower was great! The lobby and breakfast room are attractively furnished. We had booked a family room (up to 4 people) for 3 adults. The room was much, much too small for this! There was only one space for suitcases and no storage for packing and unpacking. As the suitcases were very dirty due to the winter weather, it was out of the question to put them on the bed. There were no closets, shelves or anything like that, just a coat rack. There were not enough hooks in the bathroom. There was also no safe. It would be nice if there was a shoe shine machine in the house, absolutely essential in muddy weather. Also, the carpeting in the hallways is very run down.
The best way to describe this hotel is average in every way. Everything in Tromso is ”central” - it's not a big place so that isn't really a selling point. The rooms are very small (even the ”deluxe” ones) and there are only two elevators for a pretty sizable 8 story hotel so get ready for the stairs. I paid extra to be on the 8th floor because I read the reviews about the nightclub underneath and boy they were right - I could hear thumping well into the night so bring your earplugs (the club appears to only be open Thursday - Saturday so if you're travelling outside of that, I'm sure it's more tolerable to try to sleep). Hindsight being 20/20, I would've paid $30-40 more to stay at one of the better rated hotels.
The hotel could not be in a better location for exploring Tromso and provides very good value. It was easy to travel to and from the airport (although we admittedly got a short taxi) and visit the sights (including getting a bus to the Arctic Cathedral). The room was small, but great value for what we had paid. We were mainly using it as a base in between trips and sightseeing, so it did the job nicely. We had twin beds, a desk and chair, an armchair and a long mirror. The bathroom was also very good - there was always hot water and the shower offered a good water pressure, making it easier to wash your hair after being caught in a snowstorm! The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food, including my favourite - brown cheese. I would be happy to stay there again.
