Bellbry Lodge

Stayed a week at Bellbry and didn't want to leave. It had everything - laundry, comfy bed and the heated pool was awesome! Thanks Mark & Nancy - you're the best - we'll see you both next year!

We booked a pool suite at Bellbry Lodge via their own website. Payed for it, received a confirmation, and went about our day. An hour later I received a confirmation of cancellation, with the message ‘sorry to hear you’ve changed your mind about staying with us’. Tried to contact the property via email and telephone, but couldn’t reach them. Checked later that afternoon whether the suite was still available. It was, so I figured things would be sorted out. Got an email reply in the evening, with the owner saying that the booking was cancelled ‘automatically by the system’ (apparently the system kicked in again a full hour past the automated confirmation…). I’ll spare you the rest of the communication, suffice it to say that it felt disingenuous, and the tone was belittling and unhelpful. We were able to book something else, so it wasn’t a big problem, but I was taken aback by the lack of hospitality.

The email that I never had a response to… I would not recommend. Good morning. My husband and I recently stayed at Bellbry Lodge, from the the 12th to 16th and wanted to share some feed back with you. For the most part our stay was good. Lovely accommodation, nice linens etc - however - and this was the drawcard for us staying with you over other accommodation I had been looking at was the private plunge pool. We were most upset to be unable to use it at all, as it was freezing and then to hear that friends of ours who were staying at a resort at Palm Cove (where we were going to stay) were in fact swimming in their pool at their accommadation. I splurged on Bellbry purely for the private pool and could of stayed elsewhere for considerably less and swam. If your website had said, that the pool was subject to seasonal swimming I would have booked somewhere we could have swam. Appreciated the wine and the nibbles left.

Excellent accommodation. Very modern, clean and tastefully decorated with the best quality furnishings. Lovely location in amongst other new homes. Open and airy. Bathroom and kitchen exceptional.

This property is 5 star - We stayed in Suite 3. Everything was supplied and was of the best quality. We spent 12 nights and loved everything about it. Bed was super comfortable and the ensuite, with freestanding bath and large walk in shower was terrific. The sitting area outside, adjacent to the pool was lovely to just sit and relax. Our tip would be, you really need a car because apart from the Bluewater Bar and Grill, just around the corner - which has great food, you need a vehicle to get out and about as the property is in a residential area. Very clean & tidy. Deffainly worth staying in again. Communication was excellent.
