Emerald Forest Cabins

This was a charming place. I think I even saw an Ewok. However, the young woman in charge at the front desk (the manager's daughter?) didn't look at us, rifled through a stack of envelopes and tossed us ours, told us they were closing early and turned around and walked back into the side room while scrolling on her phone. I sure am glad I didn't have a question. We stayed in a one-room cabin with a bathroom and the bathroom destroyed the entire experience. It looked clean, but it smelled very not clean. I wish I would have had a gallon of bleach with me. The smell burned my nose hairs. Backed up sewer? And it was hot. So hot. They close all the windows and allow it to rise to 110 degrees inside before you arrive. You have to open all the windows and walk away for an hour for it to cool down. That's if it is the evening time and the temperature is a little cooler. If it had been midday. Whoa. Overall, it is a good location and decent for scout troop camp week. We may return, but only if I bring Clorox.

Beautiful surroundings, off a road with minimal walking options but close to town to drive in. Cabins are clean and the redwoods are amazing

We loved the tiny cabin. Even though it was tiny it had everything needed and was very cozy. Nothing to complain about.

We enjoyed our stay. Only one thing. Sign in quarters stated housekeeping would come by daily to check if we needed any more things like coffee etc. We realized we just had to go to office and pick up.

We flew in from Florida to a big storm. Tried to cancel the cabin due to weather. The main reason we booked the cabin was to enjoy the redwoods. They will not refund. No matter what..
