We stayed in a charming private apartment size accommodation with three floors. In addition to the usual amenities, the spacious bathroom had a private washer and a large hot tub. Everything was nice and comfortable. Parking was available immediately behind the hotel. Excellent security. The helpful staff spoke both English and German and it was easy and convenient to get into our room. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the Hotel for 1 night in July 23. The Hotel is approx 10min walk from the Railway Station and literally a min from the Roman Gate and town (where there are plenty of bars and places to eat). My room was on the 2nd floor and was a single. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. However, due to the where the room is situated the celling slopes and I did bang my head a couple of times and it did make the room feel a bit small. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a TV. There were plenty of sockets of charging phones etc. The hotel has WIFI, which suited my needs (just using my phone). You could hear other guests coming and going as the corridors tended to make sound echo. The bathroom was ok, but the shower cubical was bit of a squeeze for me. Apart from that, it was clean and had clean towels and some basic toiletries. Breakfast was basic (Cold meat's, pastries, juice, fruit) but everything was very fresh and well presented. The Hotel Ponta Nigra, met my needs for one night, but I do not think I would stay here for any longer than 1 night. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a nice place near the historic center of Trier, and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Very clean and modern, with a focus on modern. Keyless rooms using codes and al electronic check in. Breakfast is very good, with a nice breakfast lady. Not really geared to English speakers, but we all found a way to communicate. So quiet at night, which was nice after a lot of noisy hotels elsewhere. We'd gladly stay here again.

To echo a common refrain among previous reviews, you cannot beat the location. And if air conditioning is an important consideration for you, it is one of the few such hotels in that immediate vicinity with AC that can be considered moderately priced. The hotel is clean and well-maintained and the staff was helpful. Underground parking with direct access to the hotel is a major plus. The only notable downside we encountered; furnishings and lighting do not appear to been updated recently. That said, would we return to Trier, we would initially look upon this as our first option.

Très bel hôtel à 5 mn du centre ville, bien équipé, bon petit déjeuner avec du salé et du sucré, personnel très à l'écoute et serviable. Avions une chambre côté cour très calme , à éviter si difficulté à marcher car escalier à monter. Nous le recommandons pour visiter Trêves

Hotel liegt in extrem guter, zentraler Lage und das Personal ist super freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht riesig, aber sehr hochwertig (Laugenecken, echte Brötchen vom Bäcker, Obst, verschiedenste Beläge etc. etc.). Hier wird jeder satt! Von der Seite her alles top. Sauberkeit der Zimmer und des gesamten Hotels ist ebenfalls absolut top. Parkplätze für 10 Euro täglich gegenüber vom Hotel im nachts verschlossenen Hof sind auch super. Alle Negativpunkte liegen ausschließlich bei den Zimmern. Wir hatten ein normales Ulmer gebucht. Diese sind super klein. Darüber könnte man sogar noch hinwegsehen, aber aufgrund der Enge sind hier Glas-Schiebetüren verbaut zum Bad verbaut. Diese sind nicht nur sehr geruchs- und geräuschdurchlässig, sondern schwingen bei / nach dem Öffnen / Schließen laut hin und her. Dabei ist auch egal wie vorsichtig und langsam man sie öffnet / schließ. Hört man auch aus mindestens dem direkt darüber und darunter liegenden Geschoss und ist sehr störend. Das Bad selbst ist wirklich extrem klein (schätzungsweise 2qm samt Dusche, erinnert an einen Wohnwagen). Das Wasser in der Dusche fällt nur aus der Brause, Druck ist hier keiner vorhanden. Dazu dauerhafte Temperaturschwankungen zwischen unangenehm kalt und brühend heiß. Lage und vor allem das Personal sind bedingungslos zu empfehlen, aber aufgrund der genannten Gründe rund um das Zimmer würden wir nicht wieder kommen. Da gibt es genügend Alternativen in der Stadt.

Gutes Stadthotel in super Lage direkt in der Nähe der Porta Nigra. Das Hotel war in einem TipTop zustand. Das Bad war etwas klein, aber wenn man Trier besichtigen will sucht man kein Wellness Hotel. Die Betten waren ausgezeichnet. Wir würden wieder dort übernachten.

Die Lage direkt an der Porta Nigra ist kaum schlagbar. Unser Zimmer war recht einfach eingerichtet, aber es war super sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Das Personal sehr nett. Es gab keine 24 h Rezeption, aber der Zugang ueber eine PIN gewaehrleistet. Ausserdem die Moeglichkeit direkt gegenueber fuer 10€ die Nacht zu parken. Preis-Leistungs-Verhaeltnis super. Das Fruehstueck kann ich nicht beurteilen, aber beim Auschecken roch es lecker. Alles in allem nichts zu motzen
