We had a lovely few days with Nikki. The room was great, four poster was a real treat, slept like a baby! Nicki cooks a brilliant breakfast and pots of tea with a tea cosy. 🙂 Nikki is a wonderful host with a great knowledge of the area, obviously Merlin is the star of the show who loves a little treat. Would recommend this B&B and look forward to returning soon

We spent three lovely days at The Arches. Celebrating our anniversary, beautiful spotless clean room. Nikki, is a lovely warm friendly lady, nothing was too much trouble. Her German Shepherd Merlin is very friendly. We will definitely be going back there again.

I have just returned from a 5-night stay at this lovely place, run by Nikki and her German Shepherd Merlin. They both made me feel so welcome, and we had lovely long chats over a delicious breakfast every day. I stayed in the "Green" room which had lovely furnishings including a 4-poster bed which was so comfortable, and views of the nearby viaduct and surrounding countryside. It is a 10-minute walk into the centre of St Austell, and easy to get to various tourist attractions in Cornwall. I will definitely return soon!

Our hosts, Nicki and Merlin were so friendly and helpful we felt we were home. Room very nicely set up with all you could need. Breakfast was lovely and personally catered for.Within walking distance to the township. Bit of a tricky park for car, but very safe and secure.

Small business, big heart! We had a warm welcome from Nichola and Merlin (German Shepherd). The room was clean and well presented. Bed linen and mattress luxurious. Gourmet breakfast cooked fresh; warm granary bread; perfect poached eggs! My two dachsunds were off lead in one second and made to feel as at home as we were. A few steps from a lovely woodland path, and a few minutes from Menacuddle well and druids chair. All round, a perfect place. Thank you Nichola and Merlin, from Clare, Denise (Bruno and Perkins)

This wonderful home from home Bed and Breakfast was Perfect . Nikki pulls out every stop to make your stay perfect, even upgraded us to the green room with the four poster bed for free, made our weekend more magical. Nikki is a fantastic cook and the breakfast was so scrummy. Her poached eggs are perfect and the warm bread goes with out saying. Merlin completes this wonderful BandB and is so well behaved and amazing manners. Thank you so much Nikki, we will definitely be back. Lisa and Frankie xxx

Really enjoyed two relaxing nights in the Green Room. Nikki was the perfect host, and Merlin an easy to please soppy German Shepherd! Lovely hearty breakfast. Handy parking, but care needed with narrow drive. Steep stairs. Near to town, Brunel's stumps, and the White River / River Vinnick (Cornish: Dowr an Wynyk).
