Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Beds were great but pillows were a little bit on the thin side. Staff were very helpful even though their English were not perfect but was able to sufficiently communicate.
Breakfast was good although there were not a great choice. Coffee was amazing even though it was from a machine. They have a freshly squeezed orange juice machine that made the best orange juice ever.
They have a comfortable area for sitting around to watch tv or having a chat with fry.
A good , clean hotel that would be recommended.

The hotel is beautifuly maintained, the staff is great. Continental reakfast at 10 euros is ok but fruits could be improved a bit. I was grateful that they were willing to go find me gluten free bread. Perhaps you could add a few more items to the continental breakfast. Guests should be aware of the location of this hotel. It is a long walk to downtown and while there is a tram within 15 minute walking distance, we did not feel very safe in this area. Not recommend you walk around after dark.

Even though beddings pillows duvet bedsheets are comfy and clean there is no AC on the bedroom, no vent, no fan and in Bordeaux at 36 degrees at night it’s impossible to sleep. Cleanliness is not at its best either in private bathroom. I had some rubbish inside my locker from previous guest and breakfast has no lactose free or gluten free option but oranges. Staff are nice and helpful but not too much.. at checkin the young man told me he’s not allowed to be too friendly with guest…?!? Prices are fine and the terrace comfortable.

We arrived at the Novotel gare saint jean, Bordeaux with realistic expectation of a four stars hotel experience. Comfortable room with excellent costumer service. We were unfortunately in for a surprise. We were greeted by an intense smell of sewer in the room. A very small toilet where we could barely sit with what looked like an old western saloon door. Toilet brush missing: After informing the reception, the stuff brought us a dirty toilet brush at the reception and hand it to us to carry back to our room. Room cleaning: We were presented with the option to pick the room cleaning days at our arrival. We picked every other day and for some reason the intermittence was totally misunderstood. The room was not cleaned when agreed. Once again we went to report to the reception. We were promised that someone was at least going to empty our trash can, bring a clean set of fresh towels and two vouchers for free drinks at the hotel bar because the cleaning time was far gone which we accepted. Unfortunately stuff never showed up to pick the trash nor with the set of fresh towels or vouchers that evening. Bath drainage malfunctioning: Clearly not functioning properly. Water filling the tiny shower floor which is about 0.80 inc or 2 cm and if not shut immediately to wait for the slow drainage to actually happen, the water will spill over. Beside that, the shower head covered with limestone etc… At the end the management gifted us a package of their body care product for the inconvenience. If hotel stars still mean anything I do not believe we had a 4 stars or even a 3 stars hotel experience.

We have stayed here before, around three years ago, and it was a tired hotel then, so even more so now does it need modernising. The good bits first: the bed was comfortable and the receptionist supplied me with two extra pillows upon request. The not so good bits: the room needs a complete overhaul. The fabric is old and grim. The floor needed a good clean. The bathroom fittings are rusted from age and, my goodness, the toilet would benefit from a gallon of bleach being thrown down it and left for a week. Gross, I think is the word. (Room 102). In these days of Covid-19 precautions, people in France are required to wear masks in hotels, restaurants etc and there were notices advising the regulation. However, the receptionist was not wearing one when we booked in. He was wearing one the following morning, but under his chin! Again, because of Covid-19 we expected the breakfast trays to be made up for as we chose our items. No, the items were still displayed on plates and baskets, for everyone to breathe over them and touch them as they made their selection. Bear in mind that many guests did not have masks on and were not prompted to wear them. Well, when the receptionist doesn't wear one, or wears it improperly, what can he say? Sadly our last stay here at a Premiere Classe (and we are fans of the chain), which is in a superb area for visiting the beautiful Bordeaux.

Everything, the room, bed, bathroom. Situation was just off the main route, felt secure with passcode gates. Welcome was good and share of info was good. The garden was lovely, very spacious, with two gite units at the bottom. Breakfast was tasty, served in a glass conservatory. Back on the road at 8:30 after breakfast.

The hotel is located on the east side of the airport. It looks like taking a bus to the airport for about one or two stops. The facilities in the room are relatively simple and primitive. If you have high quality requirements for the hotel, it is recommended not to go.

Excellent
1126junyBooked this Chateau one night as a stopover on the driving to Biarritz. It turned out to be a great stay, the rooms are large and clean, large vineyard for an evening walk and exploring. We had a tour inside the wine producing line, which was an eye opening experience. Got ourselves couple bottle of wine as the tasting, the wine was in fact very pleasant, and not expensive (10EUR per bottle), I regretted that only took two bottles. Nice and generous breakfast, the only downside was no dinner served, but not a deal break. Would definitely go again if I ever pass by.
GGuest UserWe were travelling from the UK to Portugal with our two dogs and this hotel was great for an overnight stop. We stayed here twice; once on the way and again on the way back. For the return journey, we were allocated a ground floor room overlooking the back of the hotel, which was just perfect for us. The hotel was very easy to find, had secure free parking and a small grass area for our dogs to exercise. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a drinks machine and vending machine in the reception area along with a microwave that you could use. The only downside was that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room; not a problem for us as we had brought our own kettle, mugs, tea bags and milk. We were very pleased we chose this hotel and will definitely stay again.
