Our experience was bordering on the surreal. The structure potentially has a lot to offer but it is decadent and neglected, starting with the absolutely unkempt external vegetation. Upon our arrival we were assigned a room in the attic, and three-quarters of the room could only be accessed by bending over. The entire wing is made of wood so everything creaked... the floor creaked with every step, the doors creaked... and unfortunately the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and creaked too. Two terrible pillows... Blue colored sheets, which do not give that idea of hygiene that is nice to experience in a hotel.. In the room it was suffocatingly hot, and a portable air conditioner that did "almost" its job (if set to 16 degrees!!) but very noisy.. Unable to sleep even with earplugs, around 1 am we tried to turn it off and open the skylight on the roof.. Apart from the difficulty in doing so, and the narrow opening, it was not enough, therefore we had to open both the door of the room and the one of the external corridor to let some air flow, leaving them open all night.. We managed to sleep for a few hours. In the shower one of the doors to close the box was missing... and as soon as some other guest flushed the toilet, it no longer came into ours... The breakfast was barely sufficient... and after a nightmare night it was certainly not what we needed... Last thing I have to say that even the lady who welcomed us in the evening at the reception did not shine with sympathy and hospitality... Definitely... a firm... NEVER AGAIN
