It's a fantastic hotel not far from the historical center of the city. Upon entering the hotel one is already dazzled be the fabulous decoration existing at the reception, with its alluring round shaped front desk, and the long and wide gallery on the right hand side as one goes into the premises, starting from there and leading to the lifts to be taken to reach the different bedrooms floors. Everything on the groundfloor is really precious, including the large bar area decorated in an impressive way, and the restaurant. The staff is very kind and helpful. With the exception regarding the room maids, all its members are very efficient. Some are even friendly and charming, as it's the case of a lovely Brazilian lady named Brenda, one of the waitresses working at the breakfast room at breakfast time. The receptionists are usually also pleasant and considerate. Notwithstanding that, some of the room maids are a nuisance. One took away the cup for tea which I had been provided with and didn't replace it. That made me waste a lot of time (nearly half an hour) going backwards and forwards from the reception to the restaurant trying to get another cup. It would be convenient that in that hotel the system whereby one can choose either to have his room made up or not were implemented. It's a very practical and environment friendly system existing already in many hotels, particularly in Germany and Austria. The fact that one could go out from the Grand Hotel with the certainty that no one would make a mess in his room would create in him a feeling of calm and tranquility. The room which I was allocated is very nice, spacious, comfortable and very well furnished and decorated. Besides, it is very peaceful. I wasn't disturbed by any noise coming from other guests. Therefore, I could sleep pleasantly all nights of my stay in that hotel, the more so if the fact that the bed mattress was very adequate as far as its toughness is concerned is taken into consideration. The breakfast is very good and varied. Everything is of an excellent quality. This is really remarkable as regards the pastry, but also the fruit, which is fresh and tasty, especially the sweet fruit. The breakfast room is a very pleasant place. Besides, there isn't hardly any noise and on the days I stayed at the hotel there was no music. Therefore, the atmosphere was optimum for enjoying the breakfast. An excellent terrace with some vegetation is adjacent to that restaurant. Therefore, on warm days, one can have breakfast on the terrace and so spend an immensely pleasant moment. Taking thus the foregoing into consideration, the Grand Hotel in Trento is a very good one with a splendid ambiance and excellent personnel. It’s a real pleasure to lodge in that hotel and of course I’ll certainly try to book a room in it whenever I return to the stated Italian city.
