Went to the White House for a late Xmas prezzie for the ‘spa-cation’ break for two. The spa experience , the staff and our treatments were lovely. I would recommend the spa to friends. The room we stayed in (room 8) was extremely hot despite the heating being off. This made our nights sleep very uncomfortable. The bed and pillows were also sub standard for what we would expect of a spa hotel. We both had an awful nights sleep which was a shame after a lovely relaxing massage. Our evening meal and our breakfast in the restaurant was very good and I would recommend the food to everyone. One of the waiters (an older gentleman with white hair, we unfortunately didn’t catch his name) was extremely helpful and made our dining experience very pleasant. Overall, we had a nice time but the hotel rooms could do with some modernising and a few extra touches would be appreciated (no water/biscuits etc in rooms). Although the staff were all lovely, more general organisation is required in the day to day running of the hotel. For example, no one was aware we were booked under the spa cation package and therefore, trying to settle our bill at the end of our stay was troublesome as we were entitled to a significant discount and we had to explain this multiple times. We were also not offered a glass or Prosecco at lunch time which I only later realised was included in our package.
