We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at the end of a bike packing experience on the rail trail. The service from the friendly staff was outstanding. The offerings at Wildwater restaurant were delicious and the view was magnificent. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed happy hour at the bar and slept peacefully on the very comfy bed.

We loved the location, the property, facilities, restaurants and staff. We did the Trawool reservoir walk which was a little challenging as very steep and quite rugged but wonderful. Also did 10km walk along the vic rail trail another day. Just stunning scenery Absolutely loved Trawool Estate. Loved spending time in the Herb garden and wild water restaurant and by the pool. Staff were amazing with special mention to Chis who is a real credit to the restaurant team with an always happy, friendly professional attitude and also Jason was very welcoming and lovely too. Have already recommended the Estate to family and we look forward to coming back.

Can’t recommend Trawool Estate highly enough. Gorgeous location, amazing food, lovely staff - and the rooms? Absolute perfection. It’s the kind of place where you instantly switch off, breathe a little deeper, and wonder why you didn’t book a longer stay. Already planning our return trip…because it’s so close to Melbourne!

Thankyou to all the staff at this venue who provided excellent customer service, from Nicki on our arrival, Chris who showed us through the venue and Rio in the restaurant. We enjoyed our stay, the room we had was spacious with a view to the granite hills beyond. Watching the full moon rise above the hills was special. The pool was at a perfect temperature, great for a hot afternoon after we had been for a walk on the rail trail. Enjoying dinner whilst taking in the scenery was pleasant, food was tasty with good flavour combinations. The desserts were excellent. Thankyou for an enjoyable stay.

This property was like winning the jackpot. I booked Trawool Estate on our way through to Ballarat. On checkin we were handed 2 freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and I knew from that point on I had selected something special. We were allocated a huge king room with a beautiful bathroom and a view from the bedroom overlooking the ranges beyond. We had dinner in the Wild Water restaurant and the food was delicious. Happy hour is 4-6pm and three nights mid week there are dining option specials very reasonably priced including a complimentary drink. Our booked stay included breakfast which is freshly cooked and faultless. If we could have changed our travel plans we would happily stayed another night. There is no doubt that we will go out of our way to experience this property in our future travel plans. The only problem for us was that it set the bar so high for our following week of travel no other property came even close to this experience.

We stayed at Trawool for a little getaway and were blown away by the exceptional service and accomodation in general. As outdoorsy people we loved having the great Victorian trail run right outside which made for a great run, followed by a swim in the outdoor pool. We had dinner at Wild Water which was outstanding, and every table had a great view and although there were other tables we felt like we were the only people in there. Highly recommend, for both couples and families for a relaxing getaway so close to the city. Already planning another trip with friends.

This lovely place is right on the Great Victorian Rail Trail. We stopped for lunch at The Herb Garden cafe. Great pizzas, and charcuterie board. The staff are super friendly (Chris, Kate and the pizza cook) . Nice views but very dry and the moment. Highly recommend

We called in for lunch after our previous visit was so enjoyable, so we thought we'd try lunch and we weren't disappointed. We had the pizzas in the outdoor area downstairs, the pizzas were amazing and very good value for money. It was hot day and the msiting sprinklers were fantastic.
