Hotels near Kurobe Gorge in Toyama

We loved this hotel! It was beautiful, and our room was very spacious with a great view of the river and bridges. Athough I had only booked a standard room, which I thought would be facing the car park, we were pleasantly surprised with the room we were provided. It was great to have a spacious room with table and chairs and plenty of room to open suitcases after staying in small pokey rooms in the city The buffet breakfast and dinner was fantastic although we are Aussies, we respect that it is not necessarily going to cater for Westerners, so we made to do with what was provided, and there was plenty! A couple of things that didn’t suit us (being Aussies). Strange teacups with no handles (although all other hotel cups were ceramic mugs with handles) and very small towels. The bath mat was no bigger than a handtowel and the main towels were not too much bigger than a large hand towel. The pillows were also way to firm, but if you like firm pillows, this would of course suit. If you can’t read Japanese like us, then make sure you know the hotel location as there is no English signage at the front entrance. The hotel has a shuttle bus from the train station, but it is only a 5 minute walk. It’s nice and close to the train station and Kurobe gorge rail train. A very small quiet town.

This hotel is truly outstanding. It has a century-old hot spring! Provides a memorable hot spring experience. I especially enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and excellent service of the place, and the room was large (much larger than in Japan). By the way, there is a waiter named ”Dazhong”, her English can be, thank you for the reception, and also provided very good help, thank you very much for her careful care. Although the hotel has left a very good impression on the whole, the buffet at night may be slightly average. This is the only downside. Maybe the hotel can further improve the quality of the dinner to match the other excellent service levels. Overall, this hotel is a great choice with a beautiful environment, excellent service and a century-old spa. Thanks again to the service staff named ”Dazhong”, haha, her professional attitude left a deep impression on me. I recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.

Kurobe Hotel is one thousand fourteen early. The hotel environment is expensive, the service does not feel enthusiastic, and the occupancy rate is not high. If you want to go out for dinner, you must arrange for the car to go out. Although it is free, it is not convenient. There are no meals in the hotel (if there is no reservation), only the instant noodles are three times more expensive than the outside. Next time you can consider staying outside Kurobe, take the electric train to Unayue for 20 minutes in the morning, and then take a small train for sightseeing in the afternoon Outside Yunai month, this way, at least the hotel can save half the cost. I have stayed at Manten Hotel in Kanazawa and Toyama so far, but this was the best. I stayed in a twin room on the top floor, but the scenery was good, and there was a massage chair in the room, which made me feel good. The large communal bath was not so large but clean and easy to use. The parking lot was located at ２ in the convenience store adjacent area opposite Hotel １Ｆ. If it is a parking lot of Hotel １Ｆ, the parking space is unusually small, so I think it is easier to enter the convenience store adjacent area. For dinner, I went to a cheap and popular tavern near the hotel and was very satisfied (better refer to it because there is a map of nearby restaurants at the front desk of the hotel). After returning to the hotel, I went to eat the service ramen, but the only regret was that I couldn't eat it because it was sold out. I think it is the most recommended hotel if you stay in Uozu.

Unazuki Hot Spring Hotel is expensive. The problem is that the waiter who brought in the room does not speak English and is not proficient with the hotel's translation software. The room is 12 folds, plus the balcony area after sealing, and the tea is in the entrance. There are special drinking water taps. The pictures of breakfast and dinner can't accommodate, it's not bad. The hot springs are very good, and the male and female outdoor baths change every morning. The scenery is beautiful.

Perfect location. The hotel is literally steps from the Toyama Tram Station, the Toyama Station and Dentetsu Train Station. The hotel is located in the upper floors of the Maroot Building which houses a mall, a premium grocery with a small area with tables, perfect to have some light meal. We got some sashimi after our day at Kurobe Gorge and before heading out on the train station. The room with got was good and clean. We got the Standard Twin Room and it was spacious enough. There's also a public bath in the hotel, perfect for a long day coming from Nagano via the Tateyama Alpine Route. I love how the lobby looks as well as the guest lounge and public bath, they all have that modern look that's stylish and clean. Security is good despite it being in the same building as the mall and use the same elevator to the lobby. From the lobby, to get into the elevator hall for the rooms, you need to scan your key card. then scan again on the elevator. Also to get into the public bath and to the guest lounge which offers water, ice, coffee and some snacks. While I appreciate the strict security, I think there's too much duplicate key card scanning. Basically you still have to scan to get into an area which is already inside a secured area. It's kinda overkill in my opinion :-) Staff is okay, they do what is expected of a hotel like this and they are good with their jobs but a bit aloof. They could improve in terms of friendliness. Aside from these things, the hotel was great, the space was comfortable and the ambiance was very nice and tasteful. Unfortunately, we only stayed a night.

The room is a bit small but very comfortable. The coffee in the hotel is available at any time, which is delicious. The variety in the morning is very rich. Every time I eat, I am very full.
