The location is great, in the old part of town close to shops, eateries and beach so easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is in an ancient pedestrianised area so transfers drop you off at a bus depot and you have to walk a few streets (5 mins) to the hotel which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. My flight was delayed so I was dropped of at 3am and had to walk the streets on my own with my case, this would not suit most people. Once I got to the hotel after banging on the door to be let in in the middle of the night it was lovely. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and efficient. The room was very nice with air con, heating and free Wi-Fi. tv with English channels. Bathroom was well equipped with lovely soft towels, soap, shampoo shower gel, hairdryer and even disposable toothbrushes (very SPA like). The beds were extremely comfortable. A fridge and a safe were available for a small charge but I didn't use these. The whole place was spotlessly clean and very well maintained even the outdoor areas. My favourite area was the lovely gardens with comfy Balinese beds to laze on and catch the sun, and the bar by the pool to sit in the sun with a cocktail. There was plenty of space to sunbathe, the jacuzzi was good, I never tried the pool as I don't swim. It is a very quiet hotel, there were very few children and no entertainment or anything whilst I was there for the week. I was bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet was great, everything anyone could want. I had the dinner buffet once and that was also nice, there are plenty of great places to eat close by and lots of great shops. The castle area is great to explore and all of the little old fashioned winding streets show you the good old fashioned Spain. I went on my own for a week to wind down, wander and relax with my books. It was perfect for this and I had a great time. I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you want parties or family entertainment but a great spot for relaxing and exploring the area.
