Days Inn by Wyndham Torrey Capitol Reef

This hotel was a disappointment. We had expected a pool but it was closed for the summer due to renovations. Also the wifi only works in the lobby and not the rooms. The manager is very disheveled and in the morning looked like he'd rolled out of bed in an undershirt with his hair unbrushed. HIs dog roams around the hotel. Also we tried to do laundry but the dryer took 3 cycles to dry the people's clothes before us, so the laundry room closed at 10pm and the manager said to put our wet clothes in a trash bag and dry them the next morning. Plus side was the breakfast was decent and the rooms were clean.

Hotels in this area are very expensive and there are not many to choose from. The Motel Torrey was less than most and had excellent reviews. The minute I walked in I knew why. Don’t let the modest outside fool you, the room was so nice and clean. I love the solid flooring, and it looked brand new. So many cute special touches have been made to the room and it is BIG! I love rooms with two chairs and a table to work on and share. Not having to sit on the beautiful white duvet with the sweet soft blanket tucked into the corner—such a nice touch! The tub is beautiful and white, fixtures all new and a large sink vanity. Even though breakfast is not included there is coffee, cocoa, etc. in the room, a frig and microwave…plus a sweet bakery just down the street. We love being able to check ourselves in the room without a wait. We love this motel. Just perfect and gentle on the pocket! NO weird smells - so clean!

I'm giving this hotel a 5 bubble because it was exactly what I expected by sifting through reviews. I researched this road trip thoroughly. It's expensive to travel these days in the US and stay in a clean hotel in any highly visited area. I'm surprised at some complaints in reviews. It was clear from the hotel write up that there was no free breakfast of any kind or coffee served in the morning, but there is a coffee maker and coffee in the rooms. Later I will mention the restaurant and store that is right there on the parking lot. This was the third night of our road trip west from Kansas City and we stayed one night. The Noor Hotel feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, but it's really not although nothing but what is in the parking lot is visible or in the immediate vicinity. You can mainly only see nature around you, which was nice in our opinion. The drive on 24 from I 70 to the hotel was stunning. The bathroom sink was located outside of the bathroom which I always prefer. The hotel room was quite nice, and the hotel didn't feel old at all and it was quiet in September. The building is actually more of a 2 story motel style. Lots of outlets were available in our room, a coffee maker, refrigerator, adequate lighting, and our bedding was fine as far as we were concerned. The surrounding area is natural and very pretty with red rock formations, including desert flowers and fauna. I enjoyed taking a quiet morning walk with my coffee around the perimeter of the parking lot a few times. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but on the parking lot is La Cueva, a cute Mexican Restaurant where we dined that evening. There is also a store connected to the restaurant, and it has a wealth of items for your cooler and for the road. They also had gas pumps, and it was nice to gas up and clean our windshield before we hit the road again. So those are the only places in the very immediate area. But you won't starve with no breakfast provided, the store is right there with ready made sandwiches etc. as is the restaurant. We were loaded with protein bars and water etc. as most people would do on a road trip in isolated areas. I highly recommend Noor Hotel whether you're staying one night or more on a road trip. But adjust your expectations for too many frills since traveling is expensive now. We also found the lobby staff to be friendly and welcoming after a long drive. We have no complaints.

Excellent location and service. Staff was very polite and accommodating. Took time to explain surrounding area and recommendation for dinner and sights.

Hello. We loved the location and some amenities offered such as hot tub, year round pool, restaurant on site. It’s a very nice place for the views and animals they had. I did not like the front desk customer service. I felt she was a bit racist. People travel from all over the world and customer service goes a long way. It’s best to be nicer and kind of at least smile. I was not happy with our room. We were placed right by the cleaning storage room and I’m going to list the issues of room. 1. A light bulb on table was flickering 2. Bit of an odor when entering 3. Bathroom door squeaking that needs some WD-40 and a bit too tight if space 4. Shower made noise screaming when in use 5. Keruig coffee machine did not work or is properly fitting to the k-cups provided. 6. Bed sheets had a stain, so not sure if it was even changed. 7. Fridge door would not close properly or not cold enough I would recommend this place. Just the rooms needs to be fixed better to accommodate traveling guests. The kitchen restaurant evening waitress’s on 4/16 were great and would recommend their services. Also a maintenance short older guy next to our room was greeting too. Thank you

I have to give it less for service and amenities as the WiFi was rubbish. You couldn’t connect; the signal must’ve been too low/weak. However, although the front desk guy was nice, he really should’ve done more to allow us connect in some way to a WiFi (e.g. the office/employee one or even his own) for a moment to be able to download a map we needed. So for service, I was not too impressed there. In general though, the only problem was the WiFi; it was non existent really.
