Summary: overpriced for what you get. Pros: 1. High quality food. The buffet was large and high quality, with a ton of choices for meat eaters and vegitarians alike. The locally grown greens were a highlight 2. The view. It was stunning. Cons: 1. Inability to adjust the temperature in the rooms. You have zero control. The day we arrived, it was 30 degrees celcius in the room. The day we left it was 17 degrees. 2. Lack of refrigerator in the room 3. Coffee was weak at best. I'm actually convinced they use decaf in all of their machines. 4. Prices: simply off the charts for everything. $8 beers, $250 excursions, $360 each way to and from Puerto Natales airport (in a Sprinter van). By the way, you can get a taxi each way for $70. 5. Excursion failure: we signed up for the French Valley full day tour and went to the ferry with our guide, only to find ou there were no boat tickets available. Shouldn't the excursion operator have verified ticket availability beforehand? We then had to substitute a lower quality excursion that we didn't really want to do. 6. Internet was super slow and only works by the front desk. Would it really be too difficult to buy 3-4 range extenders so we have wi-fi in the rooms? In the future, I would stay across the street at the Rio Serrano instead.

Overall, we were disappointed with this stay, though there were some highlights. We booked there because it had a pretty high rating, but the reality did not match the rating. The property was beautiful. It was on the water and the scenery was gorgeous. However, the room was subpar. We were in the lodge building at the end of the driveway, and the walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything going on in every room in the building. Also, the shower was very difficult to use, even dangerous; the lighting wasn’t very good; and the bathroom supplies were inadequate and/or inoperable. The rooms do not have wifi, and there is no cellular Internet in the area. Also, there is no pool or hot tub, in spite of the description. Further, there was no food available in the afternoon — a lobby shop or snack bar would have been nice. On the positive side, most of the food that was provided, including dinner and the box lunches that we purchased in the evening for our hikes the next day, was really delicious, even though the attention to detail on the service was a little spotty.

The location of this hotel is beautiful looking over the lake and the mountains. The room was a good size but the shower was very small and it was difficult to get in and out. The water was either too hot or too cold. There is a hairdryer in the room but no safe. We had a buffet dinner and when food runs out it is not replaced (especially the desserts). The drinks from the bar are very expensive and they don't have any snacks. From our experience the staff were not particularly friendly. You have to walk outside to get from your room to the restaurant area which was fine whilst we were there as the weather was good but could be a problem in worse weather.

Where do I start? The location and views from the hotel property and our room were magnificent of the mountains and the river. The staff were exemplary and this was the perfect location to celebrate our anniversary. Paula who checked us in and made us comfortable ; Miguel, Christian, Raissa and Francesca in the bar and dining area; Cesar and the superwoman Yvonne who made sure our excursions were booked at the last minute and went above and beyond to check that we had a great time; Rafaela who is an exemplary chef and made the dinner buffet outstanding with varieties of every type of food and the food a work of art . The dessert chef was a master at his game too and every dessert was mouthwatering ( we ate too much at meals here ) I highly recommend this for a stay just outside the park entrance because it feels like home in it's comfort with the best meals and the most amazing staff . Yvonne and Cesar made sure to guide us to ensure that we enjoyed this slice of heaven in Patagonia to the fullest Disliked · There was Wifi only in the main building which made it hard to plan from the room but allowed us to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the grandeur of the park

We stayed at Hotel del Paine for four nights . It was the prefect base from which to visit the Torres del Paine National Park especially as we had rented a car . Situated on the banks of the Serrano River just 5 minutes from the park gates it is ideally situated for anyone arriving from Peurto Natales. The staff are all very friendly . The food is exceptional and we really enjoyed the locally produced and very varied evening meals. There is also a lovely walk along the river from the hotel. The rooms and bath rooms are a little bit tired and maybe would benefit from updating but they are very cosy and after settling into the atmosphere, views and location of the hotel this was a minor issue. Given the remote location it is amazing how the team at hotel del Paine deliver such a great quality of experience . Thank you especially to Gabriel and Paula on the front desk who were very helpful and well done to all the kitchen and restaurant staff . It was a really great stay . Steve and Anna

Fantastic views and great views from your cabin window. A place not to be missed when visiting Patagonia. The box lunch of salmon salad is fantastic along with all the other goodies, and desserts are wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the benches in the evening enjoying the sunset and the wonderful views in front of us.

Lovely place, great view of the Torres Del Paine, great people and delicious food. Also ecologically sustainable and a good price as well. Horses and cows wander freely in the yard and the surrounding area. Can’t say enough about this place!

We had a fabulous trip to the Torres del Paine national park, and had a superb stay at the Hotel del Paine. Here is what we loved about this hotel: 1. The entire booking and communication experience was fantastic. Kudos to the staff at the hotel for answering all my questions, being very flexible with my booking, and proving help and helpful advice at every opportunity. 2. We made the booking by contacting the hotel directly. We made a 50% payment up front and the remainder at the end of our stay. Make sure to opt for the breakfast and dinner along with your room rate (extra charge). We were initially not keen about this, but in the end were very grateful that we included these meals. 3. The hotel includes several small villas (single bedrooms with attached baths), as well as some other rooms in the main building and others. 4. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable (no TVs or phones) - but you dont need a TV here anyways. Most rooms have a beautiful view of the TdP mountains. The furnishing and mattresses are a bit dated, but that was okay with us. There were no closets in our room. 5. All meals are served in the main hall. All meals are buffet style and are fantastic!! Full breakfast with continental and Argentine dishes, fruits, juices cereals etc. Dinners were superb with multiple meat options, vegetables, fruits and desserts. 6. The main hall also features a full bar with many cocktails, beers and wines available for purchase. 7. The hotel offers many excursions - contact them in advance to find out all the options. 8. The outdoor lawn and seating area offers grand views of the mountains - we were really lucky that we had glorious weather on 2 days out of three that we were there. 9. And once again, the staff really made the difference - my compliments to all of them. I highly recommend this hotel.
