Just left a fabulous stay at Tierra Patagonia. Can’t say enough wonderful things. The hotel itself if unique and stunning, perfectly set into the landscape on a beautiful lake. Views are to die for. The staff is wonderful and they all take their time to explain things, plan excursions, etc. We had the perfect 2 days with Roberto our guide. The food is great , bar is always open and there is always somewhere to explore. Will recommend to anyone going to this area. You won’t be disappointed.

Sadly, Tierra has been purchased by a new company, and the service and standards of the hotel have noticeably diminished. Large groups should be expected on hikes as they now want to maximize the amount of guests on excursions . We were also surprised by the extremely long drives as the hotel doesn’t enjoy some of the closer proximity as others in the same region (such as Explora). The jacuzzi didn’t work the entire time which was unfortunate, we were given a litany of reasons why but the story changed each time we asked. Furthermore, the hotel has 80+ guests and only 7 total chairs poolside. The food was also a category that was severely underwhelming - beware that if you head out on a long hike, some of the food options might have sold out by the time you return and massage appoin**ents are often missed. Furthermore breakfast is extremely limited as well as the bagged lunches on the hikes. Sadly, the hotel had us stranded in the rain for 2.5 hours as they rely on a public ferry to get us back to the 2 hour drive home needed. Other hotels have their own private boats so as to never be stuck in this situation. By then it was pitch dark and dinner at 10pm over logistics that could have been planned better. Overall, the guides were excellent and often work freelance throughout the region, but the hotel, itself, seemed worn out - broken items in the room and a management that seemed intent on herding guests into a cruise like experience rather than an exclusive one in such a beautiful place, and for such a big price.

We have stayed at Tierra 2x before in Atacama so knew what to expect in Patagonia and were not disappointed From a beautifully-designed lodge, to very comfortable rooms, each with outstanding views, great food, drinks, service and spa, we had no complaints. But, to us, these are the support for the main reason to go to Tierra Patagonia which is to partake in incredible activities with professional guides. Over 6 days we hiked an average of 10 miles a day and saw wonderful, one of a kind, landmarks from glaciers, to mountains to the rock towers. The activities are organized perfectly and you can choose full day or half day trips. You cannot find a better place as a base, nor a turnkey setup for hiking the area.

What a great place, great service and the best tours in town. I stayed here 6 days and all off those days a really loved them. The hikes, the horse riding and the biking trips were sublime. Just lying in bed a watch out side the window is great. Evere lunch and every dinner is a little bit of a party. What a great food the service and I heard that all the food is locally produced in chili.

Impeccable service, all rooms have great views of the Towers, Manager Nicholas is absolute perfection. The guides (Michelle!) are great and take good care of everyone. They have very clean, luxurious vans to shuttle you to the hikes and they pack food and drink for a snack afterwards. Their wait staff are very quick and professional and fun. The bartenders made good drinks. The spa and yoga teacher were so addictive I had to go every day. It’s fun to watch the animals graze in front of the hotel and there is a nice walk down to the lake. We felt pampered and could not think of one thing they could improve.

One of the most incredible places I have stayed. Views are out of this world. Food, room and excursions were all perfect. Kine was super helpful with booking out excursions. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Would recommend at least 5 days at this place.

Pros: - Stunning hotel with panoramic views of the Paine Massif, including views in every room - Excellent service. We loved how each member of staff in the hotel showed their personality - Amazing, well organised excursions. Special thanks to Luis who was with us for each of the 3 we went on! - Food was incredible. Fine dining with a local, home cooked feel. - Efficient transfer to and from the hotel Cons: - Spa was beautiful but quite cold to spend a lot of time in - This is really picking at things, but some decoration in the room could be refreshed, eg our leather headboard was quite worn Bottom line is this is a magical place and we never wanted to leave!

We stayed three nights in this beautiful property and we can only say how wonderful it was. Our flight to Punta Arenas was delayed due to weather conditions and the transportation waited for us 5 hrs until we were able to land, which was so nice, after 32 hours journey door to door. We arrived very late the first night around 12am and nevertheless they left us a light diner and fruits in our room which was so thoughtful. Unfortunately, we were so exhausted that we just took a shower and went to bed straight away, so we didn’t eat it. Breakfast was excellent, drinks were yummy I loved my calafate sour…and dinner, the lunch boxes they prepared for us were yummy. I loved my smoke trout sandwich that I ate at the base of the Torres. the staff was fantastic, so friendly and attentive. The tours and guides were also super friendly and so accommodating. I was surprised that at the end of a hike or tour they always had some snack and drinks in the van for everyone. Like a little picnic. Sebastian, Roberto we did some hikes with them were very fun, respectful, profesional and friendly as well as the drivers. Our private driver Tito to el calafate was very fun. He told me so many stories about the area, the country . He was very informative. ( I’m a native Spanish speaker ) it was nice to have insight view from someone local. He made the ride feel shorter! The hotel itself is magnificent. We have been to many places but this stands out and the setting is extraordinarily. Every single cent was worth it, from the spa, the rooms, the views, the food, the location, the people and I could go on. My trip to TDP was simply unforgettable our only regret is that we should have stayed longer. I only have praise for this place and for the staff. Congrats everyone! Thank you for making our first trip to La Patagonia chilena a memorable experience.
