Great place with good restaurant attached. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of sweet or "salty" (savoury). Right on the edge of the piazza by the lake and close to the Puccini house and the theatre. When I was there they were rehearsing for the Festival which was magical to sit by the Lake and listen in the evening. Rooms were clean and modern, I would however ask for a double room with single occupancy in future as the singles are a little narrow for me.

The staff really made our 2 night stay here a marvellous experience. Special mention to Cedric. He was so helpful, hard working and always cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Room was on the small side but fine for a couple of nights. Our only criticism was that getting to the hotel from the station would have been much more pleasant if the hotel could have provided transport, for which we would have gladly paid a reasonable fee, rather than using local taxis which were ridiculously expensive for the distance. Too far to walk with luggage in the intense heat…It was the perfect location for the opera at the Puccini Festival. Highly recommended.

I spent a night for a special occasion at the hotel. To start with the kind and polite staff, however the price/quality ratio is really not compatible, very easy rooms apart from the hydromassage nothing special....it is not well designed in my opinion once you are in the water everything becomes foggy and you can't breathe anymore from the closed, very worn hydromassage tub, let's not talk about the cleaning under the tub, it happened to me that my cell phone went behind and when I moved the bed I really found mold dirty etc.... bathroom poor cleaning even missing soap, there was soap only in the shower. food they stressed a week before to make you choose the menu and then they brought it wrong anyway, and when I pointed it out the inconvenience was not considered. normal food nothing special for 300 euros and more then you also have to add dinner etc there is better

The room honestly seemed a bit small to me, we had the jungle and it actually is a bit small, equipped with a small outdoor space, nice hot tub, welcome aperitif all in all good, we ate in the room and I must say that the dinner was good, good massage girls, even if personally I would prefer to be accompanied to the massage room, left for 5 minutes just to get ready, and then they come for the massage, instead they stay in the room while you get ready, still nice massage... As for the hotel, honestly it would need a good refresh, the rooms as far as I'm concerned apart from the small type we had, moreover it is very close to the kitchen and the reception, so it is not exactly quiet, furthermore there are various noises of water drains, showers and other things from the floors above..... which honestly are annoying. The cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired, it could be done better....

Once we entered the room, we started to settle in when we noticed some fragments of glass on the floor, at the edge of the bed, and layers of dust on the bedside tables. The hot tub, for which we had paid 109 euros, was dirty, in disrepair and with hair everywhere. This in itself was quite shocking, not to mention revolting but it didn't end there. We immediately called customer support for help, but, I must say, we received anything but help! A boy arrived and entered the room with a broom and dustpan and began to collect glass. Absurd! We requested another room, given the unacceptable condition of the one assigned to us. The boy was indisposed, but in the end he provided us with another room. Burned by the experience in the previous room, before settling in, we decided to do a room check (and we did well): we found a pair of dirty men's underwear behind one of the pillows, on the bed. Very angry, after having paid 83 euros for the room plus 109 euros for what was supposed to be a hydromassage tub, we contacted the manager. After 15 minutes he arrived and, without even apologizing or showing embarrassment for what had happened, he rudely asked us to leave. So we found ourselves at 11.30pm having to look for another hotel. The following day we returned to the Butterfly to request a refund, which otherwise would not have been given, since no one had worried about the situation, but in the end we got it. Poor hygiene and ZERO courtesy: it is not possible to pay €192 for a room for one night and find yourself in these conditions. That's all. I don't recommend it.
