Booked a last minute break and have to say what a little gem this hotel is.
We were welcomed by the owners Steve & Wendy who the most friendly and down to earth people you would ever wish to meet.
Their attention to detail is second to none.
Complimentary home baked Bakewell tart, fresh milk if needed and an even honesty bar whereby you are trusted to serve your own drinks and settle upon departure.
Never came across this before at any hotel stay, just shows what genuine good people the owners are.
The hotel is immaculate, tastefully decorated and only a few moments stroll to the sea front.
We had the best nights sleep, mattress was extremely comfortable and bed linen was of high quality.
Lovely freshly cooked breakfast made to order with additional fresh continental offerings available.
This hotel failed to disappoint we can’t wait to visit again.

The warmest welcome from the wonderful hosts Wendy & Steve set the happy, relaxing vibe for our stay at their exceptional hotel. Beautiful room, comfy bed, spotlessly clean and great location. The home-made cake and breakfasts were delicious (superb menu by the way!). Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and much appreciated the knowledge of Torquay, places to visit and directions for coastal walks. Highly recommend this hotel.

Another great stay! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Wendy and Steve make you feel so welcome and at home during your stay. Lots of choices available for breakfast, fresh water and milk available whenever you need it. The room is clean and tidy. Would highly recommend👍🏻

Wendy and Steve are very friendly and welcoming. Very clean throughout and the breakfast was superb and topped off with free cake made by Wendy. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Our bathroom was a very good size and again, very clean! Came here for a night 1st time ever to torquay and wow lovely hotel Wendy and Steve were fabulous nothing was 2 much trouble even got a bday card from them in room on arrival, room.was lovely and clean, had a bar which was a honesty bar which u paid at end of stay which u help yaself and write down what had hence honesty bar. And final wow was breakfast everything was fresh and high quality well done guys and thank u for a lovely stay and see u again in September

The Burburry was a perfect place to stay, location amazing, right next to the Torre Abbey, the place was light and airy, well decorated and spacious rooms, beds comfy. The hosts Wendy and Steve were very friendly and helpful, they have lots planned for future events - like cream teas this summer. The breakfast was delicious and complementary white chocolate and raspberry blondies amazing. I would highly recommend staying here

A warm welcome by owners. We had a comfortable stay in this grand guest house, with lovely decor and spotless, modern bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic. A lovely touch to be able to have a drink from the honesty bar or complimentary chilled water and piece of cake, whilst relaxing in the garden area. Thanks for a lovely stay. Jo

This B&B has got 3rd best in the UK for very good reasons. Wendy and Steve are perfect hosts, the breakfast menu is second to none, the complimentory home made cakes are a bonus and really scrummy! Great location, the rooms are decorated stylishly and the garden or bar area are a perfect place to sit and relax. All in all we had a great week and we will definitely be returning to this delightful B&B in Torquay - We strongly recommend you visit.
