The Cimon

My family and I spent a fantastic few days at The Cimon. The family room comfortably fitted all four of us, with a lovely sea view. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the heated pool was at a level which allowed my boys to spend a happy few hours in it at the end of each day. The hotel is located just over a 10 minute walk from the centre, with great views of the bay as you walk in. Jason and Julia made our stay feel like we were visiting old friends with a warm welcome and approachable manner throughout our stay. We look forward to returning.

Firstly thank you Julia and Jamie for making our stay so memorable a holiday is always a very special occasion so when you can find somewhere to stay and feel so at home it helps a long way to making it a good time. Initially, the help provided in booking our stay was much appreciated and a reminder that it is always best to book direct if possible as you get to speak to your hosts and get the best rate. Upon arrival, we were met with a friendly welcome and a really helpful verbal tour of the local area where it was good to visit, walk and eat, etc My son quickly wanted to hit the pool where we would spend many hours over the next week. We were like a couple of kids making up games and just living the dream. Not many people can say they have been chased around by a Croc in the UK!!! The whole property has obviously been lovingly put together, and no photos can do it justice as you just can't get the warm and loving ambience it brings. The room was immaculate it was spotlessly cleaned and furnished to a very high standard with all the little lovely touches like a top up of hot chocolate every day for George to enjoy while we had our bed time story. Breakfast was 5 star in the lovely surroundings with Julie, Jamie, and the lady who I rudely forgot to ask her name, taking the time to make sure everything was spot on and chatting to the guests leaving a room of happy people sharing their holiday stories. We will certainly be returning as we really have found walks we want to do again and places we want to visit again and all the things we ran out of time to do. If your idea of a holiday includes having a place, you can feel at home and yearn to return to pick up where you left off making memories and you want to stay in the Torbay area you won't be disappointed. When booking a holiday the reviews are the first thing I look at as I want to find a place like The Cimon which will ensure our stay is a happy one it really ticks all the boxes and then some more and we left with memories that will last a life time and have a place we can call home in Torquay when we look to return. I would highly recommend a stay at The Cimon, really lovely hosts with some great tips on things to do and recommendations locally. The accommodation is in a great location with free parking, we had a fab room, The Cimon also has a lounge with TV and games which is a lovey extra, a bar and a pool. The later would be amazing in the summer month.

Lovely hotel, our room had a great sea view, bathroom was spotless, big bed that was very comfortable. The hotel is a credit to it's owners, it has a pool and patio area, it's is like being in the Med. Breakfast was perfect, great plant based choice. Friendly owners. Far better than staying at any of the branded hotels. We will be back, highly recommend!!....and we had a fun night out in Torquay, lots of restaurants and bars.

Lovely friendly welcome from Julia and Jamie. The car park was very good and plenty of room to park without damaging the car. The hotel exceeded my expectations, it was very clean, cosy and our room was warm and well located. The breakfast was delicious, I've never had such a fluffy omelette, and lots of choice of fruit, cereal, yogurt and fruit juice. All the staff were excellent and very friendly. We will definitely be back, thank you so much.

The Cimon is run by Julia and Jamie and is a 12-room B&B that is comfy, cozy and feels like you are staying at their home (you are!). My friend Kim and I stayed two nights so we could explore all things Agatha Christie, and Julia recommended a stellar tour guide Graham who really made our trip, and Jamie recommended an excellent seafood spot (No. 7 Fish Bistro/Wine Bar). The common areas include a swimming pool and patio for the summer months and a conservatory for breakfast and happy hour cocktails made with local spirits. The rooms and lounges are comfy and have everything you need. The Cimon is within walking distance or a short cab ride to everything you want to see and do in Torquay. Highly recommend and thank you Julia and Jamie for such a welcoming stay!

We had a fabulous stay at The Cimon celebrating my husband's birthday. Julia and Jamie made sure that all our friends and family were made to feel truly welcome and comfortable. Every room our group booked was immaculately clean and all well laid out and very spacious. Our group had a range of dietary requirements and spanned all age groups, all of which was managed effortlessly. Nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous choice for larger groups and special celebrations.

A great hotel with fantastic hosts who were very knowledgable about the area and all the restaurants and things to see. Great heated outdoor pool in fantastic location. Lovely four poster bed and great cooked breakfast every morning all set in a great location with a short walk to the town and seafront.
