Beautiful homestay in a great location with breathtaking views. Clean rooms, spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. Amazing hostess, nothing too much trouble and always thinking of you throughout your stay. The food was delicious and we looked forward to our breakfast every morning. We had the best week. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely quiet place just out of town. Host was very attentive and nice. Great views and breakfast! Communal area looks comfy, and although we didnt use the pool its part of a garden with a great sea view that is very tidy.

Absolutely beautiful peaceful stay! Anne is the perfect host. Everything has been thought of and can’t fault a thing. Spotlessly clean. Had a bit of a mix up when I booked but Anne gave us a discounted price to upgrade and also gave us a free overnight charge on our car which was really appreciated. If you want a complete rest away from everything this is the perfect place! Beautiful views! Thank you Anne.

This was a magical little trip. Halekulani Devon stays, I would argue has the best view in Torquay. It was like something out the wizard of oz! Anne was the best host ever! A lovely caring woman who wanted to make sure we had the best stay possible . She made an amazing breakfast. First, I would have protien weetabix with an orange juice. Then came the English breakfast - 2 Mustard sausages, turkey bacon, 2 poached egg, mushrooms, hash brown, tomato & 2 slice of warm sourdough. After breakfast we would sit at the pool and read our books for 2 hours I would highly recommend , and will defiantly be back. Thank you Anne for the hospitality it was the best trip ever!

Absolutely stunning property with exceptional views all around from inside and from the garden. We had 2 rooms when we stayed here one looked out to the beautiful countryside and the other straight out to sea which if your lucky enough can catch a sunrise on a clear morning. The breakfast was exceptional as was the view from where you have breakfast, in front of the bifolds looking out to sea. The only downside was I booked 1 night, I could have easily sat in that spot where we had breakfast all day takeing in the views. 100% recommend this absolute Gem of a B&B. And not to forget the fantastic host who meet you with a warm welcome and makes you feel as comfortable and at home as possible :) will defo be stopping here again! 10/10

Although I was in Torquay for my Brother's funeral, I couldn't have been more at ease. Anne is special; she is one in a million! A long flight from Scotland followed by a miserable wet and misty drive from Bristol ended up with Anne being so concerned over my late arrival, that she drove to Shaldon Bridge to find me and lead me to Halekulani at 10 at night. Such a special peaceful location, it was just where I needed to unwind. A wonderful breakfast with carefully selected local produce and the sun shining in the open doors across a tranquil countryside and the sea and coast beyond. Anne, throughout my stay couldn't have been more considerate and helpful. After the anxieties of a funeral, the wonderful calmness of this location was just what I needed to unwind. How often is it that a proprietor of a boarding establishment; no, Halekulani is not that but a "home from home": is concerned about a guest's welfare after leaving? Anne certainly was, on a foul day with a Yellow Weather warning throughout the UK, and asked me to let her know when I got to my destination. If you want a place to stay overnight try a chain motel; if you want sanctuary from all life's woes come to Halekulani. A huge thank you Anne.

A beautiful home with all the comforts of a home. Fabulous hill and ocean views. A very caring hostess who provided a bespoke and delicious breakfast perfectly cooked. Quiet rural surroundings; it’s situated close to the coastal path, but also an easy drive away from Torquay and all its attractions and amenities.

I have read some of the reviews already posted and they are a fantastic complement for Anne. Its hard to add new comments. From booking to saying goodbye there was good communication, help and advice. Our onsuite room was spotless, a bath & a shower plus all the goodies. The view even on a cold wet day was great. The breakfast menu was extensive, well prepared & delicious. Lovely comfortable lounge, large tv etc. A lovely few days. Highly reccomended.
