What do you expect from a 4-star airport hotel?
1) That the transfer is quick and hassle-free.
Here I had to wait a long time; during that time, three or four transfer buses from the "H" chain hotels passed by.
The bus was in appalling condition and had been patched up at each end.
2) Check-in was friendly.
3) I booked a Club Room. However, the Club Lounge is closed in the evenings/weekends. Drinks were available at the reception. Breakfast was available in the lower lounge area.
The room was on the 8th floor, and the hotel smelled musty (like a nursing home) – I've never experienced anything like that in a 4-star hotel.
The room was okay, but the bathroom was generally very dated and worn. The hairdryer was old, the cord was 5 meters long (rather impractical in a small bathroom), and it didn't heat up. The tile grout was yellowed. The toilet only flushed after two or three presses.
Contrary to the description, a bathrobe and slippers weren't provided. Even after asking and requesting them at the reception, I didn't receive either.
Breakfast was good; the chef made a great omelet and was very friendly—somewhat salvaging the rating.
Late checkout was possible, but it cost $60 for 4 hours.
The return transfer worked better. The bus driver helped with the luggage. Not happily, but it's no fun lifting heavy luggage onto the old bus.
I wouldn't book the hotel again. I don't think the price/performance ratio is justified. And paying just for the name—sad.
