"Other than language barrier with the staff which is understandable, nothing else to comment on this hotel. It may not be your typical tourist hotel because the location is not near any famous attraction, but there are still places to go to when you are in Ibaraki. I booked this hotel because i will purposely meet a friend who lives in the area. Clean facilities and generous amenities are provided."

However, the amount confirmed when booking through TripAdvisor and the amount paid directly at the hotel were different, so I don't think I'll be using TripAdvisor again. The amount I paid at the hotel was 2,600 yen more than the amount confirmed in advance, but this didn't solve the problem. If you complete the payment immediately through TripAdvisor, it shouldn't be a problem, but if your payment method is set to pay at the hotel, be careful. The amount paid may change.
