Rixos Premium Bodrum
4.5/562 Reviews
Just returned from the Rixos bodrum for 2 weeks with my older kids and wife. I have been to many Rixos hotels and never had reason to complain as all were very good hotels and I have Rixos Sharlm booked next year so loyal to the brand. The hotel is not up to the usual standard I would expect from a premium 5 star hotel. Unbelievably all al carte restaurants were shut, from MID SEPTEMBER. Leaving us to dine in one buffet restaurant for our 2 weeks stay. If I had known this I would not have wasted a small fortune and booked the titanic bodrum, as stayed there previously. Off course I questioned the hotel management, the answer why only restaurant open, it’s out of season. I have been going to turkey in October for the last 10 years and have never experienced a 5 star premium hotel with only 1 restaurant available for dinner. To make matters worse the hotel was very busy during our stay. The buffet Restaurant could not cope with capacity and was so busy between 7-8pm it was hard to get a table inside or out and for 4 days had to move tables and chairs to seat us. It spoilt dining for dinner most nights. The staff were run ragged and service was poor, I poured my own wine as no waiter noticed my gestures for 5 Minutes. I spoke to the hotel manager and complained that the main restaurant could not handle the capacity during 7-8 pm peak dinning time to be told I know I agree. Absolutely preposterous. The rooms were dated and showing there age we stayed in deluxe suite, the TV had no English channels and no smart app function 10 years out of date… I would not normally watch TV but the hotel had very little entertainment. A singer every night at 9.30pm… whoopee… No mini golf, no boccia, No table tennis, no pool or snooker, no cinema room, no bowling no games room, the tennis courts were out dated and in need of repair. Literally noting to do other than the gym… Rixos you need to sort out the entertainment as it the worst I have experienced. On top of that the lobby area where the music is played at 9.30pm has not got enough seating so again no tables available unless you reserve from 8.30pm. The beach again got very crowded and the bar service was pretty much non existent, if you wanted a drink you had to get it yourself 9/10 times. Plus points of the hotel… Grounds are lovely and well Kept and the scenery is beautiful. Check in was friendly and comfortable with hot towels. The food quality is good and generally well prepped and displayed. The hotel is very clean and the rooms cleaning was good. Drinks and wine good choice The patisserie very nice and good chocolates. Good choice of ice creams. The spa clean and sauna and steam good facility. Bad points… Coffee hit and miss especially at breakfast no coconut milk and syrups and the coffee house next to gym was closed Buffet Food can be the same each night very repetitive Cocktails at the beach bars are hit and miss, lobby bar can make a cocktail, but ran out of single malt whiskey after

Me, the wife plus 5 yr old and 2 yr old. Went 21-28 Oct. Hotel is slowly closing down for season, so although some of the bootable restaurants and the coffee shop weren’t open, there was a reduced amount of people there, so plenty of sun beds on the beach. Room - we had a garden view room that was halfway between reception and Candyland so excellent location. We had a room with separate bedroom so kids could sleep and then we could sit on the balcony. Room was cleaned daily and towels replaced whenever you wanted. Food - really enjoyed it though if you stayed 2 weeks I could imagine it would feel a little repetitive Staff- all very friendly Drinks- You had to pay for some top branded drinks, but the ones we had ( Honey JD and Gordon’s did the trick) Candyland- impressive water park but water was cold. Spent more time at the beach. Funfair in the evening which the kids loved. Had to pay extra for trampolines/soft play but everything else was free Candytown- massive crèche for kids with mini disco and movie nights Beach-mainly sandy with a few small pebbles before entering water. Bar right next to beach so always able to get a drink. Transfer- transfer time was only approx 30 mins, which was nice after a 4 hour flight A number of people I spoke to , or reviews I read for Turkey hotels in general said their 5 star was actually 3 star so we had set our expectations before going, but this is definitely 5 star. They had someone raking the sand on the beach so it was nice and smooth. There were always lots of people about tidying and cleaning. Loved this hotel and would defo go back. Thank you Paul

The hotel has been renovated and the facility is generally nice, clean and tidy, the location and the sea are nice, the pools are sufficient. Few negative aspects: - The staff is new and inexperienced. The staff do not have any knowledge about the hotel at all. - During our stay ;the first week of August the hotel was completely full and the staff was insufficient. You may need to wait 1 hour for a hot snack.( lahmacun) - The rooms are generally nice but the sound insulation is very bad in bunglow type rooms. You can completely hear the sounds in the next room. - There is not much entertainment , there is DJ performing every night but no one really enjoys. - The main restaurant was left in darkness in the evening at dinner time during a power outage, the generator is insufficient. - The staff constantly asks for good comments about themselves to be written in google or tripadvisor, but the service received does not deserve a good comment. Insistent comment requests become unpleasant after a while. Overall hotel is ok for its price but dont keep your expectations high for here.

Ok so let me start by saying the hotel itself i.e. the grounds are amazing and beautiful. The rooms are nice. Shower could be more powerful but had worse. We had the village room and for us it was ok. We were family of 3. Son who is 4 slept on the small sofa bed. The spa is nice I had a treatment which is one of the betters ones I have had for long time. The drinks are good but at the beach bar expect long queues. Same for the Starbucks coffee expect queues let's start with the negatives. Pools are freezing and so cold that you cannot get in, even the indoor one is cold. The hotel is hilly and lots of steps so people with mobility issues will struggle. The food is bad. For vegetarian lack of hot foodz just salads. The Italian alacarte tried to make us vegetarian pasta which was nice but stone cold. The food in general even for my husband and son who eat meat wasn't great they found all the hot food cold as well. Staff are ok. Not as friendly as some of the other hotels I stayed in..

Firstly - it’s not a hotel. It’s a hostel with upgrades. No place to swim (no such thing as a beach). Food is rubbish. Overpriced cocktails that contain close to zero alcohol. Place was built for owner and his friends only. Stray dogs everywhere (not cute puppies). Hotel is quite far from Bodrum, which means that you will waste at least 30 min to 45 min to just eat something good and by reasonable price. We booked nice room (as we thought) with sea view (there is no such thing as a sea view ‘cause of high walls of Voyage hotel right in front of you) but we was sent to room with view on construction site with stray dogs running around all day long. At night time you will not sleep because of Voyage evening events with live music and EDM-rave’s))) Summary: If you choosing the place to stay and think, that you can save couple bucks on hotel, but you will get some exp and choose where to eat – Torba it’s not place for you. Torba it’s good place if you have a car, or you do not get out from your hotel. Voyage is good actually for this purpose. If you short on money - choose something closer to Bodrum or choose another destination in general. Olüdeniz - it’s quite sweet spot. Trend Life summary: Food: 0/10 (it’s overpriced x3 from Bodrum prices and tastes bad) Place: 0/10 (roaches, fur, dirty bedsheets, mold in bathroom, low water pressure) Swimming/Pooling/Beach-life: -100/10 Cleanliness/room-service: 0/10 (they stole my pack of cigs and all bed was in dog fur :-)) Infrastructure: 5/10 (2 shops in 2min of walking, bus stop in 5 min) “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here…”
