This guesthouse exudes cultural charm, having been thoughtfully converted from an old house. However, the biggest issue is its lack of practicality. As an accommodation, guest convenience and functionality should always be the priority. For instance, the vanity area, while beautifully decorated, has an overhead light that isn't directly above the sink. The mirror is also about a meter away, tucked into a corner, which means you can only get a vague reflection. It's impossible to see details, so forget about checking for blemishes or plucking white hairs. The shower stall is incredibly spacious, yet there's no caddy or shelf for toiletries, forcing you to place them on the floor outside the shower. There's no television in the room. The soundproofing for rooms located on the first floor near the entrance is abysmal – it's almost like having no door at all.

I stayed at a hotel in Tongren on a business trip. The room was quite big. Because I was a light sleeper, I asked the front desk lady to get a room near the back. It was quite quiet and I had a good rest. The attitude of the front desk clerk was also very good. Overall Very satisfied.

The hotel is conveniently located. It only costs a taxi fare to go to the ancient city. The front desk helped me upgrade the room. The room is large and has two large TVs. The room facilities are reliable and easy to use. The shower temperature control is not easy to operate, and the temperature is hot and cold. I hope the hotel can find out the reason. The hotel breakfast is simple and practical, with rice noodles and other dishes.

I would rate this hotel as deserving its 4-star rating within China. The location is excellent, being only a few minutes away from Tongren train station. The hotel also offers hourly short stays (with a minimum of 3 hours), which was extremely handy for us. Our trip to Fanjing Mountain was disrupted by heavy rain, and having access to warm showers for the whole family at a fraction of the room cost was extremely valuable. Additionally, as other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel provides a free shuttle to the train station, which is a great plus.

The service of this hotel really exceeded expectations! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the night slept very well. The most pleasant surprise is that the sound insulation of the room is very good, and the noise of the corridor is not heard at all. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to the business district and park, suitable for walking and relaxing. I will choose to live here next time I come here, the price is super high!

To park, you need to enter the door and turn right to park in the underground parking lot on the right side of the Zhongnan Gate Ancient City.

Pros: Good breakfast, good service, good location Disadvantages: The shower water is very cold, the water in the private bath is not hot, and my friend said that the air conditioning in his room is not very hot either. There is a smell of cigarettes on the pillows in the parent-child room! Public hot springs: The large pool with massage and the indoor pool simulating a cave are worth a dip. The others are average, the water temperature is too low, and the temperature of the indoor pool is more suitable.

There are performances in the ancient city at night. It is very close, only a five-minute walk away. The sound insulation effect is also good. There is also a free tea bar on the first floor where you can drink tea.

Facilities: The hotel has underground parking, but because it was National Day, there weren't many spaces, so we parked at the meteorological bureau parking lot outside, which required a longer walk. There are two elevators, but due to the high floors, the wait can be quite long. Breakfast time is perfect for those who want to sleep in; the hotel is open until 11 am.
