Honestly, I don't know where to start. I'm completely touched by my experience at this hotel. First, the rooms are clean, big, surrounded by nature, greenery, and a beautiful lake that you can observe for a perfect morning scenery. Secondly, the facilities are top notch! Everything is clean! All facilities are provided to you with great quality; clean floors, perfect white clean towels, the hot spring water is clean, the pools are clean, the shampoo and body wash liquids smell amazing! (Like the baby colon your mother would give you as a child with the blue rounded top!) AMAZING! However, I had a very special interaction with one of the staff who deserves a medal for being so responsible and ensuring that her guest was in good hands. Unfortunately, I got sick one morning while I was checking out. I was having an anxiety / panic attack that made me really disoriented. I didn't feel safe driving afterwards and I requested for the ambulance to be called. The kind and beautiful lady at the front desk handled all my paperwork, and ensured clear communication between doctors and nurses. After getting a physical check at the hospital for 2 hours, the results came back fine. There was no problem at all, however, the lady from the hotel staff was still there to see me out and ensure that I was safe and ok to drive. She was amazing! Thank you a million times for providing a fantastic place to stay, but also for taking great care of me! ( I don't have any pictures of the hotel because pictures aren't allowed to be taken within the hot springs, but trust me when I say, everything looks just as it is in the pictures. ) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and there was a long line to check in. There were about 6 people at the front desk, but we had to wait about 15 minutes. They told us to come back in 15 minutes to get the key, so we were able to use the lounge right away. The room was a triple room, very spacious and clean. It's located on top of a mountain, so there's nothing nearby. We could use the large public bath in the evening and in the morning, and it was spacious so we didn't mind the crowds. When we checked in, we asked for an additional breakfast buffet for a little over 3,000 yen. There were a lot of guests, but there was a wide variety of food and plenty of tables available.

The hotel is too old. It is very inconvenient if you are not traveling by car in the suburbs of Toyama. There are many insects. The room is a bit old, but the space is still quite large. The hot spring here should be hot water, not underground mineral water.

The hotel is very good, with beautiful environment, considerate service, and a free lounge. It is very suitable for vacation. The breakfast buffet is very high-end. Although I didn't go to the hot springs, my friends who traveled with me said it was worth going. Because I was driving by myself, I didn't pay attention to the traffic. The problem is, the hotel is in the mountains.

Everything was perfect! I was happy that I could take a sauna in the morning bath. It's also close to the World Heritage site of Gokayama, so I was able to relax and enjoy myself.

Pros: Breakfast and large public bath staff are friendly Breakfast has a variety of foods and is delicious. The salads are fresh and can be made in a variety of ways. The ice cream and ramen were delicious, and the food felt sincere, so I really enjoyed it. I think it would be nice to make good use of the lounge drinks. It's a pity that there are limited times when beer can be used. I was satisfied enough to use the large public bath in the morning and evening. Cons: Old rooms I was surprised by the pattern of the curtains and also surprised that they were not blackout curtains. The bed was very low. Perhaps because it was a basic room, it was old, so it was difficult to keep the stale smell. The view of the sun rising from the room in the morning was spectacular. :)

It is good that the existing Royal will be reopened as Mercure in April 2024. The hot springs are spacious and there is also an open-air bath. The restaurant also has a buffet and is worth eating. Highly recommended for family travel Parking is also free

The hotel is in a convenient location and convenient for traveling

The size of the room and the deliciousness of the breakfast were good. However, the hotel's Wi-Fi was so slow that it was unusable. Normal mobile 4G communication was faster.

Even if I park my car in front of me, the bellboy won't come out, even if I check in, they won't even carry my large luggage to my room. The public bath stinks of chlorine, and the front desk is crowded at check-out time, so it is better to finish the payment by 21:30 the day before. There are posters here and there even though it's convenient over there, and I was surprised that it was too local salt. This may be fine for locals and families, but it's not recommended for those who want to spend a quiet time. Breakfast was a very large venue, but it might be good for those who want to eat a lot because there are many kinds.

Huge convention type hotel located far from town. 1980’s deco, spacious but well maintained Onsen is clean and spacious but tiled like a swimming pool The convenient shop is large with many souvenirs. Love the local hand-made paper products. Check out the carp mobile! Breakfast is good. Stunning variety but possibly bcos there was a convention ( fr Taiwan?) going on that weekend ( 3 bus full) There is even a ‘church’ in the hotel ground for weddings The rooms are spacious with the usual ammenities I had my clothes washed in the coin operated laundramat in the basement, beside the entrance of the onsen. Convenient and economical. No detergent required and the machine automatically dries the clothes too I would love to stay here again

I stayed at this hotel using a guest ticket. It feels a little old, but it's well maintained so it doesn't bother me. It's still a comfortable and relaxing hotel. The room is spacious enough for the price. However, the food was disappointing. I had high hopes for the buffet dinner at the Nagano Daiwa Royal Hotel because the buffet was amazing recently. Unfortunately the tempura was cold and not fried live at all during the meal. The freshly grilled steak was also tough. The desserts were well-crafted and enjoyable, but honestly it was a disappointment.
