We booked this B&B to save a long drive home after visiting Tosselilla, we weren't sure what to do for dinner and so we tried calling the hotel all day to find out if their restaurant was open, there was no answer on each occasion and no call-back in response to our message. We arrived in the evening, the room (number 3) wasn't a bad size, the beds were comfortable and after asking for a second pillow it was quickly brought to me by the helpful receptionist. The room had a small sink which was good, because we had chosen a B&B with a "shared bathroom". We noticed that the "blackout blind" was not functional, the room was almost daylight with the blind down and with the sun rising very early we would wake up at around 5am. I asked if the hotel could do anything to fix this, the girl at reception stated that she couldn't help and that we have to speak to the manager/owner ourselves, he eventually brought a small sheet which half-covered the window which really didn't make much of a difference, his efforts were of a minimum to try to resolve it. Good customer service would be for the hotel to take our feedback and act on it immediately without us having to keep asking various individuals, and to actually succeed in darkening the room. During our stay, I felt that the staff were quite abrupt/rude, and actually a little unfriendly overall. We felt like an inconvenience instead of guest, this little B&B really should focus on improving their customer-facing skills. I would suggest avoiding room 3, it is directly opposite shared bathrooms which means occasional noise during the night. Also, the ceilings were regularly creaking from people walking around in the upstairs rooms. At one point as we were trying to sleep after a long day, there was a loud noise outside our room, I opened the door to find one of the hotel staff unpackaging washed pillows directly outside our door, I politely asked if she could do it quietly somewhere else, there was no apology. In the morning, the room felt slightly damp and I noticed a lot of condensation on the inside of the window. We slept fairly well, fortunately the hotel was quiet overnight. Breakfast was a cold selection with no hot food on offer, despite there being a full kitchen, it would have been nice of the hotel provided extra-paid options, for a bit of bacon or toast at least, but upon asking the owner, I was told that no hot food is available. Overall, customer-service is lacking here, a little disappointing - it costs nothing to be friendly and helpful, the staff have a lot of work to do there. Hot food options should be available which would make the B&B a little extra cash as an upsell. If you're looking for somewhere to stay whole visiting the area, it's not a bad B&B, but its just not great either.
