Vila Gale Collection Tomar

The heater didn't work on the first day. I called twice Still not corrected I went down to the lobby and requested a room change. Ignore that too They say it's because the air conditioning system is set to summer. omg!!!! The lobby was warm because the heater was working. Then he said he would give us one more blanket each. Oh my gosh!! They said they stayed at two Ihotul places. I think there are a lot of problems It's not 4 stars It is 3 star level. 4 star price only

It was the first time that we stayed in a Collection series unit, but, judging by the sample (read: by experience), we will certainly demand others. The characteristic that distinguishes these units from “normal” Vila Galé is the historical-cultural weight of each building and its surroundings, which, in Tomar, is a big deal! Apart from the difficulty of parking nearby (there is free parking 100 meters away, but it is always very popular), when you leave your luggage in the hotel lobby, a huge panel alluding to the central cloister of the Convent of Christ immediately compels us to begin a historical journey. until the Middle Ages, passing through the Templar era, a ubiquitous theme in the countless images that decorate rooms, corridors and the restaurant, in the latter complemented with an extensive chronology whetting the appetite of history lovers. And since we are in the restaurant, breakfast is served in a cross-shaped arrangement, with the products in small quantities, constantly replenished, and with a description that, at first glance, even seems to us to have a much larger quantity and variety. more measured than in the current VG units, which, with more careful observation, we will conclude is, naturally, a mistake... The varied breads, croissants, cheeses, sausages, homemade jams, fruit juices, typical hot dishes from the continental breakfast, the homemade cakes, the fresh fruits, in short, everything, after all, we find it there, as we are used to. Here just a small note for the scrambled eggs, which, to my surprise, appeared on the chafing tray as a confection based on powdered eggs (?), losing in creaminess and texture, and contradicting what our expectations at VG are. . Returning to the first form, the secular building connected two contiguous structures, connected by an area passage over the street where the hotel entrance is located, and which separates the red zone from the blue zone, for better orientation of guests inside. Bedrooms, beds and equipment with the usual level of comfort (I'm just not used to the duvets that serve as sheets, as I die from the heat!...), living rooms and parlors, reading room, with classics available, bar with a piano, a private dining room and even a chapel, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, promoting leisure. The longitudinal outdoor swimming pool has its infinity edge over the Nabão River and overlooks Tomar Castle, high up, providing magnificent “picture postcards” at the end of the afternoon and calmly refreshing the hot days of Tomar, in an atmosphere idyllic. We only have good things to say about all the staff, in terms of friendliness and professionalism. Then, just set out to conquer the historical, heritage and gastronomic offerings of the Templar city, which is so vast it can become tiring, but we will always have this beautiful place to return to, recharge our batteries and get back to work, on every occasion.

Hotel muito simpático e bem arranjado com uma decoração simples e funcional, embora um pouco complexo interiormente para chegar a qualquer sitio. Até uma capela tem lá dentro!! De realçar a simpatia e amabilidade de todo o staff, sempre rápidos e prontos atender, quer na receção quer no bar a servir a piscina. Tem uma localização excelente mesmo no centro da cidade o que faz com que se vá a pé para qualquer lugar. Tem uma garagem interior que deu muito jeito pela ausência de estacionamento exterior nas ruas adjacentes. O pequeno almoço é muito bom e completo assim como o buffet ao jantar com muita variedade e qualidade. Único ponto menos positivo diria a falta de espaço na piscina exterior para tanta gente, ou se vai cedo ou não temos lugar para ficar. Resumindo, parabéns pelo hotel (um verdadeiro 5 estrelas e não 4 como tem). Gostei muito, recomendo e vou certamente repetir.

Leider haben wir das lauteste Zimmer,nämlich Straßenseite erhalten und können daher dieses Haus nicht weiterempfehlen.Wir haben schon 2/24 gebucht,aber das nichts gebracht.Das Abend Buffet sowie das Frühstück ist eine Art Massenabfertigung mit dazugehörigem Lärm.Das Hotel ist einWinkelqerk von verschiedenen Gebäudenmit verschiedenen Niveaus.Am Schwimmbad war natürlich nichts frei weder Liegen noch Stühle und hat die deutsch-oesterreichische Unsitte des Handtuch reservieren auf der Liege auch Portugal erreicht- leider.

Excelente. O hotel é composto de vários edifícios ligados entre si, num excelente trabalho de recuperação do património e de arquitetura. A decoração é alusiva à história da cidade de Tomar. Quartos espaçosos, muito confortáveis, excelentes refeições. Tudo impecável. Excelente piscina interior. Pessoal muito simpático.

Contras: ninguno. Pros: la amabilidad y profesionalidad de todo el personal. La atención recibida y en especial el cuidado por el tema del gluten tanto en el desayuno como en la cena. El hotel es impresionante, con unas instalaciones modernas que no desentonan para nada con el carácter antiguo de los edificios.
