We flew into Tolú airport which is a 20 minute taxi ride to Casa El Muelle, situated on one of the prettiest beaches in Coveñas and where we spent our long weekend. The ground floor room, basic but clean, was practically on the beach itself and really good value. Our host Emerson, did everything in his power to make us feel welcome, including making the best basil pesto pasta I have ever eaten from scratch! We actually ended up eating at the hotel a lot because the food and wifi were great, although Emerson also organised a trip to a beautiful bahia restaurant for us with an incredible view. The area seems very safe and calm, you can walk around freely. The only thing is be prepared for a few mosquitos at night due to the nearby mangroves that you can tour. I would definitely recommend a visit and would love to go back soon!

We had such a nice stay! The independently ran hotel is perfectly located steps away from the water. Emerson is so kind and accommodating, he makes you feel like you’re at home or visiting a friend or relatives. The WiFi worked great and the food was fantastic. I’d happily come back!

Such a great stay! We went to Coveñas for a girls getaway and were warmly welcomed by the wonderful Emerson! We felt so at home and a part of the family. I worked the first couple of days we were there and the WIFI was super fast and I had no trouble with video calls. The hostel is amazingly located right in front of the beach and we had our beach hut set up daily so we could easily go for a dip or a nap. The room was spacious for the 3 of us, nothing too fancy but exactly what we were looking for. It was clean and cleaned daily. Emerson invited us to learn how to make pasta and was very accommodative with the tours and activities available to us. We will definitely be coming back again!
