I stayed for 7 nights on way to see family in OZ from the UK, my reason for choosing Sakura Ikebukuro was that I was stopping off to see my daughter who is doing a year at nearby Rikkyo University. The first thing is to say that there were very helpful reception staff who spoke good English. It's on a reasonably quiet street (for Tokyo). I stayed in a single room, there was a sign in the lobby that no visitors are allowed in rooms. I have no experience of Japanese hotels and was told they are generally very small, but this was fine, the bed was probably a small double, so generous for one. There was no cupboard space but some hooks on the wall to hang clothes, but that wasn't an issue for me. Below the window was a large shelf (with TV that I didn't use) and sockets to recharge my devices. There was an ensuite and the shower was over a small bath but plenty of hot water and good pressure. I took the breakfast option in the cafe across the road that was cheap but basic, thick white toast with butter and jam and coffee. You could buy yourself an extra boiled egg if you wanted one. I think my rating overall was a 4.5 but as that's not an option I've gone for the full 5 on the basis of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Overall good value for money for the single traveller.

Don't normally write reviews, but this place suited me just fine. Great showers, small, quiet, clean, cheap (6 nights £100, booked in advance, trip.com). Kettle, microwave, small lockers. Small shelf in your pod for two cabin luggage size cases, 3x mains plug sockets, light. No washing machines, but launderette 100m. Great location for Shibuya, Shinjuku. 100m to Mejiro JR, Family Mart 50m, cheap (500¥) but good noodle restaurant 75m. Duvets are light as a feather, because they are real feather! Okay, I found one bed bug and the aircon is a bit low powered, but you'll probably find that in most hostels. I stayed in a chain hotel, last time in Tokyo and my room smelt of cigarettes! I really do recommend this place, if you're not wanting a party hostel.

◯ Good place Single 6000 yen and good cospa. Close to Ikebukuro Station. 3 minutes walk to the nearest station entrance. The large communal bath sauna on the top floor has just been renovated to 21/12 and is beautiful and well cleaned. It's wide and relaxing. I feel that I'm putting my strength into the hotel. You can get a bottle of water for free. There is an outlet and a light switch at the bedside. The corridors on each floor are also bright and clean. The desk is large enough for PC work. It seems that the water field in the room has been renovated recently. The water pressure in the shower is very strong. ◯ Bad points The staff is low in terms of language. The room has been renewed, such as wallpaper, and the smell of years is soaked. Some women may not be good at it. The wallpaper is a little dirty, but there are some things that stand out. The basement of the building is a sex shop. The temperature of the dry sauna is low, so it is not popular, and there is a line in the steam sauna. Overall, I think that cospa is very good if you are traveling for those who value savings, just sleeping, and staying while staying in the sauna. It is recommended to bring an air freshener. I would like you to install an air purifier.

The hotel has a very central location. The Yamanote line is a 10 minutes walk away. I think the hotel affords a lot of comfort and relaxing for couples and families but business travelers as well.. In the same building you can find a mall with local and international restaurants and the most shops you may wish to find. Staff is friendly , helpful and for sure courteous. Rooms are excellent, clean and convenient.

I stayed at the Ohedo for a single night. The hotel is very good for a short stay. The rooms are pretty small but it’s understandable since its location is in Tokyo. The staff are quite friendly. They also offer breakfast in the morning. You can ask for seconds on coffee, bread (western breakfast), rice (eastern breakfast). It was delicious and good quality. Overall the property is no frills and straight forward. However, it is clean, quiet and convenient. Ikebukuro train station is very near. There are also many restaurants and shops in close proximity.

This newly opened hotel is decorated very neatly and warmly. The rooms are also larger than normal business hotels, so you can cook your own meals. It is very suitable for living with family or friends. There is also a drink vending machine with a uniform price of 100 yen on the first floor of the hotel, which is affordable and convenient. The hotel is located at Exit 1b of Ikebukuro West. Go up the stairs and turn right into the path. I went to Japan for nearly 20 days a month. I like the cleanliness of this hotel. The reception is warm and thoughtful. The size of the room is acceptable. It is not depressed. It is very comfortable. The disadvantage is that there will be Japanese time reminders on the floor every morning. There is no room after a few minutes. Another point is that Japanese hotels often have no rooms on Fridays and Saturdays. They need to move away and store their luggage for 2,000 yen a day. It is not very cost-effective. Because there is no room to go to another hotel on Friday and Saturday, I will come back on Sunday, so the luggage charge is understandable but not consistent. Others are very satisfied, I will choose this hotel next time if I go to Tokyo.

I stayed near the company because I will be busy during the holiday. It is about １０ minutes walk from Shin Otsuka Station on the subway to Otsuka Station. The hotel building is old, but there is no problem with the front desk room. It was only used to sleep because the morning was early, but it may be used again if there is a chance. I walked around after walking, but there are supermarkets and so on.

Everything is great. Room is quite large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom is large with bathtub with amenities. Complimentary icecream is provided as welcome gift. Sofa, fridge, hot water pot are providednin the room. Location is near Ikebukuro station that is convenient for travel in Tokyo. There are free parking lot (4 spaces) in front of the hotel.

マダニ大量発生していました。 1.2匹なら自分で駆除しましたが。よく見ると壁をお散歩しているマダニ、私のお気に入りのバッグやキャップに侵入するマダニ、寝ようとしたらベッドをとことこ歩いているマダニ、布団の中からポロっと落ちてくるマダニ。数えきれないほど潰しました。潰した時に、血が出たのでおそらく前の宿泊者が噛まれているようです。全額返金してもらいましたし、キャップとバッグは弁償して貰う予定です。フロントの女性は誠心誠意謝罪してくれましたが、責任者の方はヘラヘラした印象で、「マダニって見えるんですか？笑」と。ホテル業界なのに、マダニの見た目を知らないのかと驚き怒りがこみあげました。マダニの見た目や生態を知らないとしたら業界の人なのに無知過ぎますし、そんなわけないはずなので、知っているのにわざと存在を知らないふりをして初めて出現したかのように話しているのかなとも思いました。私自身がサービス業界の管理職をしているのですが、こんな対応するか…？と思いました…。ゴキブリやクモなら害はないので気にしませんが、マダニは感染症になる確率がとても多い害虫です。噛まれていたら、感染症になっていたと思います。もしくはこれから症状が出るかもしれません。恐怖で1日を過ごします。綺麗なビジネスホテルなのに最悪でした。

平日18時からのプランで宿泊。着いてびっくりラブホでした。ビジネスユーズの方も何人か見えました、私は写真を見ずに値段で決めてしまったので到着してびっくり。部屋は勿論ラブホです。机もなく風呂も昔のビジネスホテルの様に古く狭い。寝るだけだったので良かったですが、びっくりしました。

Both the location and service were great ☺️ It is about 5 minutes walk from the north exit of Otsuka Station. You can go to the central city immediately! I stayed in a single smoking room. Of course, there are residual cigarette incense, so if you are interested, we recommend a mask or non-smoking room indoors. Amenities are toothbrushes and toothpaste, shaver. There is also a toothpaste cup. I brought a cotton swab. I didn't have hand soap, but I washed my hands with shampoo and rinse, because I had body soap. I think it is perfect for staying without meals because the surrounding environment is good.
