Hotels in Asakusa, Tokyo

Ueno and Ueno Mitsumachi in the series stayed, but this is the first time. I was surprised that check-in could be seated. It's like a luxury hotel. There is a drink machine that can drink coffee, cocoa, etc. in front of the elevator. The elevator is a security elevator that does not move unless the card key is swallowed. The rooms are narrow and the windows are small. The single type is like only the rooms opposite the sky tree. You can see the townscape of Asakusa. The TV is made of panasonic and is about 50 inches large. The room and unit bathroom are barrier free and good. Body soap, shampoo and conditioner smell good with a line called Probancia of pelican soap. There is a small humidifier? No air cleaner. There is an outlet and USB port on the headboard. However, the lighting switch was put in the series hotel, but there is no one here. Tables and chairs are small to apologize. There is a hot pot and a small refrigerator. There is a small standlight. 2F has a microwave oven, ice making machine, vending machine, and coin laundry. Access is about 10 minutes walk from each line station.

The staffs at the counter are very polite and friendly. Rooms are clean and charging cable are also provided. The washing machine are free to use, only pay for the dryer. Have a hard time finding the location of the hotel when check in, however later we found out that there a bus directly in front of the hotel that bring us to the JR station. There also a family mart just beside the hotel. Overall we had a very good stay at the hotel.

I have totally enjoyed it that was why I kept extending my stay during my vacation. In the beginning, I only tried one night and would transfer if I didnt like it - but obviously, I enjoyed it and stayed for a total of 5 days. Thank you for making my vacation wonderful!

Good location. Room is quite cozy and spacious. It provided breakfast coupon, which can exchange snacks. It is highly recommended. Staff are helpful and efficient. Good price. Highly recommended.

A very nice hotel, great location - metro station and convenience stores are nearby, good service - staff is helpful when the snow hit Tokyo, I stayed for one more night and the rate was reasonable, the hotel is perfect for solo travellers. Will book it again when I solo travel next time!

First of all I stayes at this hotel just for couple of bucks more than a capsule hotel. But this hotel is much more than that. Even if they say it is a small bed for 2 but not at all, of course not a king size bed but it was comfy for me and for my pregnant wife. Hotel staff is very kind and helpful like rest of the Japan and very clean and tidy room.

A classic older hotel in a great location in the NE of Tokyo. We stayed there decades ago and wanted to return. We booked a bigger room on an upper floor and loved the views. It’s a huge hotel with minimal service. We missed feeling “taken care of”. It felt more like we were just processed in and out. Also, as an older hotel, there is little control over the temperature in your room. Either the whole hotel has heat or it has air conditioning. In the shoulder seasons where you may need heat one day and AC the next, your room can become uncomfortable. Our room faced east. The morning sun made our room unbearably hot until the sun moved. But the views made our stay memorable. FYI, rooms facing East have great views of the Tokyo Tower. Rooms facing west may get a view of Mount Fuji if the weather cooperates.

This hotel boasts a prime location, just a two-minute walk from Tawaramachi subway station. With a convenience store right downstairs and an additional five to six within a five-minute radius, guests enjoy unparalleled convenience. In a mere 10-minute stroll, you can reach the renowned Senso-ji Temple, providing an effortless immersion into local culture. Despite the rooms being relatively compact, the overall environment is clean and tidy. The implementation of a smart check-in system adds to the ease and efficiency of the stay.

This hotel is truly great! The rooms are big enough for the three of us to stay in comfortably. They have the best staff whom provided us with great service. The location of this hotel is also located in a very convenient location where lots of attractions are in walking distance and there are lots of subway stations also within walking distance. Overall me and my family had a great visit to gooey and a wonderful stay at this hotel.

Our family booked two rooms for three nights at the KOKOHOTEL Residence Asakusa Tawaramachi. I mainly chose the hotel because it is in Asakusa, which would make getting around Ginza,Shibuya. We returned a little early at 2:30 pm and I asked if we could check in a little early and they allowed us to. I asked about our luggage, and they noted it was already in our rooms. I guess I could have checked in a little earlier. The room itself was very nice and clean. The bathroom was also very luxurious and clean. The shower had excellent water pressure and heat levels. Front desk staff are vevry friendly. especially the beautiful staff Fukui san did help us a lot of. She was so sweet and kindly. We stopped by FUKUI many times with our problems such as restaurant reservations and Disney ticket purchases, but each time they helped us with a wonderful smile. she smile seemed to solve all our problems and was very reassuring. It's a perfect 5 star hotel in my opinion and one that everyone should experience at least once.
