Lof Hotel Shimbashi

LOF Hotel Shimbashi is in a great location, only a short walk from Shimbashi which is on the yamanote line and gets you to all the main sightseeing areas easily. The rooms are small, but this is very typical of Tokyo and despite their size they are well equipped. We stayed in a twin room on 8th floor which had great views of Tokyo Tower. The staff are warm and eager to help, no ask was too small. The hotel has a great lounge area with a Costa Coffee machine and everything you'd need as a long or short haul traveller (microwave, coin laundry, water dispenser, individual WiFi in each bedroom for great service). The only downside was the building was very hot and we had to ask reception to turn our AC back on each night - I assume it turned off as an energy saving initiative which is fair enough. We'd stay at LOF again if we come back to Tokyo - thanks so much for a great stay.

My room is nice and the view is unique. The Tokyo Tower is right in front of me when laying on my bed. Though the ambient lighting in the room looks ok its brightness is beyond desirable. The hotel staff, particularly Ms Wong, was very helpful by providing 2 additional table and stand lamps to intensify the overall illumination. This made the room even better. Thank you.

What makes LOF special was the Renovations and overall design of the hotel. Upscale feel, great room size. Other hotels I’ve stayed at in Tokyo felt very small. Great Location as well.
