We spent 4 nights at Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside and it was a disappointing experience deal to the poor front desk service.
We are a family of 3 with a 5yo kid and on the third night we requested for an additional pillow for one of the adult, as the pillows were extra flat and soft. Sadly when we asked at the front desk, the lady in charge replied us in an unfriendly manner by saying “ You have four pillows in your room.” after looking at our booking record.
This is the very first time and only hotel that we got rejected for ONE additional pillow all over Japan, especially with such attitude. We are fine with an additional pillow cannot be accommodate but it can be in a more welcoming tone and manner.
Also the quilt is not using a quilt cover, just a piece of big cloth underneath. No room service at night time, towels or other items needs to be picked up at front desk.
I would not recommend travellers to stay here especially families with kids as it is certainly not kids friendly.
