I felt transfixed in time; My room door opened with an actual key. The furnishings and decor, ostentatious but tasteful. I felt like I could have met Humphrey Bogart in the hallway. The hotel had an air of privacy and was peaceful and calm. I also liked the location. I know it was a bit of a nuisance to find, but once you realized exactly where you were in terms of the metro exits, when you walk out of the hotel, you could easily think you’re in the suburbs with your family; away from the hustle & bustle of city life.

Historical great location, scenic magnific night view!
My room was up-grated to 36th floor (so very higher than original room-rate!), so I enjoyed Sunday night panorama (partial harbour view!) of central Tokyo. If you have interest in modern TOKYO (around MEIJI- era),you can take a good walking nearby along SUMIDA river.

On the fourth night, I was given a room with a view of Tokyo Tower. The night view was great. The hotel can walk directly to GINZA Six and Kabukicho. However, Kabukicho requires cash payment. Unfortunately, I went there 3 times but never got to enjoy Japan's most traditional art and culture! I will go there again next time
