Okachimachi Urban Hotel

I like the location of the hotel, as it is close to public transport and many restaurants. The room is small but in good condition. The staff are helpful. However, it was a bit annoying that the lift was set to stop on the second floor every time it went up or down.

Great hotel, basic, clean some amenities options to wash clothes if you need to. good price for the location. I would book here again for sure. Good subway connection for the area too, close to a subway entrance.

Stayed 4 nights. Walking distance to Suehirocho station & Ueno-hirokoji station (Ginza Line), Ueno-okachimachi station (Oedo Line), and Ameyoko shopping streets. 7-11 & McDonald's is also nearby. The room is clean, but housekeeping is not every day unless you stick the "Clean Up Room" on the door before 11 am. Not all the staff can speak English. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to Tokyo. Highly recommended.

Great, always stay here when visiting Tokyo. Close to a 7/11 as soon as you exit the building, a Lawson down another block, and a Family Mart 4-5 minutes walking towards Akihabara station. Akihabara station is a great entry point to get around Tokyo, around a 10 minute walk to get there, and Ueno Park is also about a 10 minute walk. Only complaint is that the bed is a bit stiff and you only get ONE pillow per bed, which is also a bit too firm for my liking.

About 10 min walk to train station, and Ueno. Would be great if it’s closer. Everything else is top notch and would love to stay here again

Excellent Stay – Clean, Convenient, and Comfortable! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo. The room was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. One of my favorite things was the strong and consistent hot water – soaking in a bath after a long day was such a treat and really helped me unwind. The location is excellent. It’s close to several metro exits, and even getting to and from the airport via the Skyliner was super convenient. The area has great access to convenience stores (literally downstairs!) and plenty of food options nearby, so you never have to worry about finding something to eat. Even though it’s located right along a main road, I felt safe walking back alone at night – which is a big plus for solo travelers. The soundproofing was also surprisingly good – I never heard noise from other rooms or floors. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip!
