Hotel Maruchu Centro Reviews

Stayed at this "hotel" for several days before going to another city. I returned to stay again for more days. When I arrived the girl at the front didn't say anything that was welcoming in Japanese such as "Welcome back" despite knowing I speak Japanese. Neither does she had ANY smile on her effing face. Why? Because it is my life and I returned 2 days later instead of earlier. She did not know I had a reservation to stay on that day. So she probably didn't smile because of that? Regardless, it is not hospitable and NOT Japanese customs or tradition at all. Unlike hotels, this place does not hold baggage for free even if you are returning to stay here again. Shower rooms are next to the front desk where you have to walk in front of people after a shower. Towel or toothbrush are NOT provided. Only the room is included in the price.

Absolutely love this hotel!!! Highly recommend if you are a solo traveller. The location is not too bad as I bought the Tokyo subway pass so I don’t mind it being slightly farther away from the main area. The staffs were great, common shared facilities were so clean I am very impressed. One downside would be they do not provide water so you have to purchase it from the convenience stores nearby. Honestly not a big deal but would be great if it was provided!!!

I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Pros: First of all, it's cheap. It was 50,000 won per night, but that price is actually cheaper than a capsule in the city. The location is really good. If you have a subway pass, you can easily stop by the accommodation. It's 5 minutes from the subway station. The photos of the accommodation look a bit like that, but it's actually cleaner than you think. The bathroom is cleaner than my bathroom at home, if you exaggerate a little. The service is really good and the staff is friendly. The large public bath is spacious and not many people come in, so it's easy to use. There are 3 shower rooms on the first floor, but I've never seen 3 of them full. There's a convenience store and a mart nearby. Cons: Towels are 150 yen, so you have to pay for them. You also have to pay for room cleaning. There's nothing else. I really recommend it.

Bath towels and face towels are available for rental, and cost extra. The large public bath is divided into men's and women's baths by time system. The shower room is open 24 hours a day.

The neighborhood is a bit scary, but the location is good because it's close to Asakusa Sensoji. The air conditioner smells like a towel(?), which is not good. It was good because there was a large bath. If you're planning to stay near Asakusa, it's worth coming here again.

Next to Minami-Senju Station is Sansatsu Supermarket, 24-hour Lawson McDonald's, and Burger King. It is in the same room as a department store. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. There is a sound when opening the door in the room next to it. There are toilets on each floor. There are three bathrooms on the first floor. The large bathhouse is divided into men and women. The room has a table, bed, air-conditioning and TV. There are no refrigerator sockets. You don’t need to bring your own. There is lotion in the shower room.

There is a microwave on each floor to heat food. The price-performance ratio is relatively high. There are public toilets and bathhouses.

The air conditioner works well, so there shouldn't be any musty smell in the room, right?

The waiter was very polite and civilized. A good stay experience. Not far from the subway station. Very convenient transportation. Near Sensoji Temple. Very good. Everything you need. I will stay here again next time.

In a place where every inch of land is valuable, you can only live in a small room for more than 200 yuan. There is no private bathroom. There is a public toilet on each floor, but it is very troublesome to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. There are three single bathrooms on the first floor. It is better to go to the bathroom later.

Very good to stay there for a few days in transit. The room is clean, the hotel is located not far from a station and a Konbini. Equipment available to heat food. I really appreciated the presence of the sento which makes the difference for me.

The noise from sliding doors in other rooms and washing in the corridor will be very loud and affect sleep.
